As the guest that book this home you must be 25 years or older, be staying at the property the entire time and will be considered the responsible party for this booking. Forest Creek Lodge is located just above the coastal fog line, yet stays cool deep in the trees. Badminton/volleyball net, croquet set, and tether-ball are provided with private yard for tons of family fun! The lodge has a wrap-around, covered deck that lights up at night creating a magical atmosphere. Enjoy barbecuing outside, swinging on the porch swing or soaking in the 4 person hot tub. This home has so many nooks and crannies to enjoy, everyone can spread out and find their special spot. Kids will love all the fun sleeping areas, a great place to play hide and seek! Larger groups will be considered with an additional charge of $25/per person/per night. This is a great lodging choice for guests coming to attend a wedding at Moonstone Beach which is just a mile and a half away. THE KITCHEN - The gourmet chef’s kitchen is perfect for entertaining and those who love to cook. Fully stocked with pots/pans, utensils, and appliances as well as the basics: coffee, spices, flour, sugar, oil and vinegar. The large island kitchen has granite countertops, a six-burner professional gas stove, and all stainless appliances. Gleaming hardwood floors complete the kitchen and adjacent dining area which looks out into the redwood forest and offers window seats to relax and enjoy the view! THE LIVING ROOM/ENTERTAINMENT - Large sunken living room (with hand railing for those needing extra support on steps) is so cozy - it feels like home! Enjoy streaming your favorite entertainment with the Roku and 100” projector screen (Guests will need to log in to their own streaming accounts - we do not provide cable or local channels). Black out window shades allow for ideal movie watching any time of day. The vaulted, wood lined ceilings in the living room create an expansive yet cozy feeling made complete with ambiance and warmth of the electric "fireplace" stove. The living room opens up with double French doors onto the private back deck complete with propane heaters(2) to keep warm while enjoying dinner next to gorgeous redwood groves, and giant primitive old-growth stumps, and beautiful ferns. THE BEDROOMS (+Loft) All three bedrooms have comfortable queen beds with luxury linens, plenty of blankets, throws and pillows, as well as good reading lights. The first bedroom is on the main level-adjacent to the bath-perfect for those with limited mobility. A winding staircase leads upstairs to the Master Suite and Tree House room. Aptly named "Tree House Room" this incredible bedroom has 2 walls of windows looking directly into the redwood treetops! The kids will be sparring for who gets to sleep here! The adjacent Master Suite with even more coziness: skylights, a reading nook, and more beautiful wooded views. Through the living area and up the 2nd stairway you will find the sleeping loft above the living room with an additional queen sized bed and sofa. This bonus "bedroom" loft is open and overlooks the living room with a railing. The stairs leading to the loft include a unique very private corner window seat looking out into the redwoods. THE BATHROOMS - Plenty of privacy with a total of 3 full bathrooms. On the main level, the bathroom boasts double sinks, and separate private toilet and shower areas. The 2nd bathroom, off the laundry room, includes a glass and tile shower. Perfect for easy access to-and-from the hot tub. The 3rd bathroom is adjacent to the upstairs master suite and is shared with the dressing area. It has a glass enclosed shower and separate toilet area. All three showers are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. HEAT SOURCE - Forest Creek Lodge has forced air heat throughout as well as an electric "fireplace" stove with realistic flame display for a cozy ambiance. Additional space heaters for warmth as well as heavy comforters ensure guests stay nice and cozy! Be prepared to make yourself at home! Fully stocked kitchen, beach toys and blankets, yard toys, kids area with toys for all ages, games, and books! Every detail has been thought of! Please note: We are in a semi-rural area and share the forest with many wild animals and critters, such as: bears, mountain lions, foxes, and raccoons, as well as neighborhood dogs/cats. Do not feed wild animals. Do not leave food in cars, and keep trash secured. You may also encounter spiders(and their webs), rolly polys, mosquitos, centipedes, and salamanders, etc. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home, no shared spaces. We will send driving directions and a key code prior to arrival. Other things to note No large gatherings/parties, we are in a family friendly quiet neighborhood. Please observe quiet hours between 10 pm - 7 am. Please do not pick the flowers and other foliage on the property. Guests are expected to follow the Hot Tub rules posted in the house and by the hot tub. Moonstone beach is about 1 mile away, and while walking is doable, be advised the rural road does not have walking sidewalks.
