The Vintage Rose suite is on the 1st floor of the Majestic Jewel Inn. The super comfortable QUEEN SIZE, 4 poster bed takes center stage in the cozy bedroom. The private full bath is ornately decorated with an antique vanity, vessel sink, marble shower as well as a claw foot tub. Fine linens, high-end mattress & pillows, toiletries (including Epsom Salt) are provided. Romance galore in this suite! Opens up to the Grand Salon. All modern amenities that were added, were designed to blend with the look of this majestic home. The Cypress walls of the Grand Salon, Formal Dining Room & prestigious staircase are so well preserved and certainly show the lost art of wood work. The hardwood floors thru out are also original. Attached to the back of the house was a bank. Although the vault, teller counter & drive thru still remain it has been converted in a Hospitality Lobby & kitchenette for guests. Plenty of well lit parking. Upper & lower wrap around verandas. Dining room & Grand Salon lounging area. Hospitality Lobby with coffee & tea station, cold drinks, snacks as well as a kitchenette and half bath. We divide our time between Apalachicola & Atlanta, therefore we are not there 100% of the time but can be reached by phone when out of town. We are generally in residence 3 weeks a month. The Majestic Jewel Inn is nestled in the center of the historical district and just 2 blocks from the restaurants, galleries, pubs, shops etc. The streets are lined with magnificent moss covered Oaks & Palm Trees swaying in the breeze. Explore the town by foot so that you don't miss any of it's beauty! Cross over Avenue E and walk 3 blocks to the bay where you will find a sand filled playground & a wharf extending out over the water. Great dolphin spotting area! So many historical churches along our street well worth a visit. The sounds of lovely Church bells can be heard from our veranda. Park your car at the Majestic Jewel and walk everywhere! Historical downtown is less than 2 blocks away! We are in the center of the Historical District! Galleries, Museums, Restaurants, Pubs and Shops are all within a few blocks! The River Wharf and Bay Fishing Pier is within 4 blocks. Golf Cart Rental available in town as well. St George Island is a 10 minute drive across the bridge and Cape San Blas is a 20 minute drive. Although The Majestic Jewel is not a bed & breakfast, we do offer our guests a lot of lagniappe; self serve coffee, tea, cold drinks, bottled water, oatmeal. milk & cereal PLUS and excellent environment to mix & mingle or simply sit back & relax! We are in the center of everything that Apalachicola offers, just blocks away from the restaurants, galleries, pubs, shops, river wharf, bay fishing pier etc. Park your car at our place & walk everywhere! History & beauty surround us!
