Locally, there are plenty of amenities close at hand, with Tintagel being within walking distance less than a mile away. Here there are shops, tearooms, convenience stores and plenty more to explore. The pretty village of Boscastle is also close by, with the River Valency running though the centre and leading down to the harbour. The historic remains of Tintagel Castle are not to be missed, perched high upon the dramatic cliff top and accessed by a stunning cantilever bridge joining it to the mainland. A little further north, the Trethevy Cliffs are also well worth exploring, with stunning scenery and wide expansive views of the Atlantic. The picturesque harbour of Port Isaac, made famous by the Tv show Doc Martin is only 12 miles distant, and the larger town of Wadebridge is 16 miles.
