Alte Linde, former inn with garden, pure idyll

Our approx. 200-year-old, lovingly restored half-timbered house in the Elbtalaue protected landscape area is a special place: The ballroom of the former “Alte Linde” inn today invites you to a cozy get-together as a large kitchen-living room with a fireplace. The 5 bedrooms with country house flair are surrounded by a very large garden with plenty of space to play (trampoline, sandbox) and enjoy (fire pit; grill). Behind it, river & forest, lake. The space The "Alte Linde" can accommodate families and friends of up to 12 people. A lovingly furnished, cozy farmhouse with its own flair awaits you: deep wooden ceilings upstairs, the large dance hall and country house chic downstairs. Everywhere there are nice places to linger for large and small guests. The heart of the house can be reached immediately after entering on the right: The former ballroom on the first floor: Here you will find the kitchen with everything you need, a long table for nice big rounds, a sofa corner with piano and the fireplace… If you are good at it, you can also play our beautiful old piano. From this living room you can go directly into the garden with outdoor furniture. If you turn left from the hallway, you will find another living room with a spacious sofa in the old guest room. Part of this "reading room" is a 1.40 m wide bed behind exposed half-timbered beams. From the hallway you can also access a large bathroom with two sinks. The bathtub is located where the old cooking area (Esse) used to be. A door of the "blue" bedroom with canopy and baby bed, which has a direct connecting door to the reading room, also opens into this bathroom. After climbing to the upper floor via an old (somewhat steeper) wooden staircase, you will reach three more bedrooms via a bright gallery with a play corner (1st with double and single bed, 2nd with two single beds, 3rd with a cozy sofa bed). Upstairs there is also a bathroom with shower. However, not only the house is beautiful, but also the natural garden with old trees. You can reach the garden directly from the kitchen and from the bathroom. It is completely fenced, so children can run freely. Guest access As our guests, you have the whole house and the large garden all to yourselves. You reach the property via a garden gate in a fence that completely surrounds the property. Other things to note Minimum stay 2 nights, during vacation periods 5 nights, on public holidays/long weekends 3 nights No youth groups/leisure time Towels and linens are not part of the reservation. However, linen sets of towels and bed linens can be ordered in advance for €15.00/person. Please indicate when booking whether a set is desired or whether you will bring your own. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate dogs in the house due to allergies. In consideration of the working neighbors, we ask you to be quieter in the garden from 10 pm onwards. Your cars should always be parked on our property, not on the street. The old sensitive piano may only be played by people who have learned to do so. Our house has a biological sewage treatment plant, so please do not throw anything other than toilet paper into the toilets. Please dispose of hygiene items and wet wipes or similar in the trash cans. Please also note the other house rules.
