Welcome to Monarch House at Midnight Rose Farm~ We are a working farm located just a few miles from NE Ohio's prime wine country and wedding venues! Our guest house was built in 1904 and has a long history of hosting happy memories for the last nearly 120 years. During the summer months we grow pesticide free flowers for You-Pick and bouquet sales, and support the monarch butterfly with a hatchery and feeding area- 20% from the reservations go directly to preserving land for pollinators. The space Come on in and walk back in history- you will see original woodwork on every floor. But don't think we will leave you in the early 1900's- there is a ROKU TV, A/C, and lots of board games to enjoy after your winery or wedding experience in beautiful NE Ohio. We provide all linens, toiletries basics, towels, cooking basics- you just need to book and enjoy your stay! There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths to offer plenty of space for your group. Our kitchenette gives you a fridge (with complimentary snacks and water),stocked coffee bar, a microwave, and hot plate for making great breakfasts with our farm fresh eggs (we will provide at no charge, just let us know!). We have a charcoal grill for guests as well if you want to enjoy a night of star gazing- like dinner and a show! There is also a big firepit with seating and a pavilion with cornhole for loving the country life. Guests have access to 9 acres of flower and natural habitat fields. Make sure to get your perfect vacation pictures with our *NEW* monarch mural behind the hatchery, and book a tour of our butterfly house so you can get up close and personal with our Farm's winged guests! Complimentary tours of our pollinator feeding station fields with Monarch butterfly education, or our "petting pasture" for photo ops with adorable miniature donkeys and friendly goats are available to all guests Summer and Fall- please make arrangements prior to your check in. If you are interested in longer stays, having a full kitchen for meal preparation, or larger groups up to 10 make sure to look at our sister property listing The Inn at Monarch Meadow- located just a few miles away. Guest access Whole House and immediate grounds around Monarch House. Pavilion lights must be turned off and fireplace extinguished by 11pm due to our commitment to preserve our National Dark Zone. June-September the flower fields and Monarch hatchery are open to the public on specific days/times, flower visitors share the parking lot with guests. Public hours are always complete by 7pm so guests have uninterrupted use of the grounds by Monarch House in the evenings. Saturdays our Farm store is open behind Monarch House, guests are invited to come hop and receive a 10% discount on farm made products! Your safety matters to our family- each property has code door locks that are changed after every stay and exterior security cameras. Other things to note Minutes from 16+ wineries, multiple wedding venues, and all the other wonderful sights of NE Ohio. Driving maps for wineries available. Sustainable farm experiences and education available with each stay- they will vary by season and can be arranged prior to check in. From releasing a butterfly to meeting our little donkeys in our petting pasture we are here to make your stay the BEST! Monarch House is a farm stay, please expect all the charm that comes with rural living.
