Walking into the main-floor you'll find the kitchen-dining-living room was designed with people and good times in mind. Full open-concept with a big island and living room for everyone to make plans over coffee in the morning, regroup at lunch, and unwind in the evening during dinner. The kitchen is fully-loaded with everything you need to get your chef on: - stainless steel cookware - new stainless electric range - cutting boards/chef's knife/silicone cooking utensils - drink mixing kit Need to get away from the group for a minute or two to send some emails? Or maybe you’re visiting for a while and need to stay in touch with work or dedicate some time to a project – the workspace upstairs is away from the communal spaces and offers some quiet, a beautiful slab desk and natural light. Hopefully you don’t have too much to do. ;) Upstairs also houses two bedrooms with cozy bedding and new Etsy mattresses, a full bathroom, and a high-efficiency washer/dryer in the hallway closet. Plenty of room and amenities, even for large groups, so no one is waiting for a bathroom in the morning. The big and cozy master with a king bed and new Etsy mattress are on the lower floor, as well as a comfortable sofa bed in the den that unfolds easily to help accommodate groups of up to 8 easily. The kids will love the den and so will the whole group if you need to take a rest day from hiking, biking, skiing and exploring Nelson, or if it’s raining and you want to get some take-out from one of the great local eateries and relax with a movie or Netflix – we’re set up with 50" 4K smart TVs in both the den and living room with all the common streaming apps (BYOL - Bring your own login) and some built-in LG cable channels ready to go for when you want to chill. Speaking of hiking, biking, skiing, eating, and exploring – you’re perfectly located in our spot: it's an easy five minute walk to beautiful historic Baker St., cafes, restaurants, brewpubs and shopping. Five minutes the other direction to the waterfront and mall if there’s anything you need, or take the tranquil waterfront pathway all the way to gorgeous Lakeside Park. Heading to Whitewater to ski or Kokanee Park to hike or bike? You're 30 seconds from the road that will take you to either. Ride hard all day? The pool and fitness center is right next door! Pop in for a steam, sauna or hot-tub before heading out for dinner, hit a morning work out or take everyone for a swim if the weather isn’t great. Hitting the town in the evening? Perfect. You're minutes away on foot. Wine and dine at one of the spots we recommend in our welcome pack, or explore the sights and scene and taste your way through town until the bars close down – and once they do, escape the noise of late-night revelers… unless you’re planning to stay out! And if you are, it's an easy walk home. ;) Honestly - being able to access Nelson by foot is lovely, as is not having to worry about parking, which can be a bit of a nightmare, especially in summer. And it's also great to be able to easily slip back to the flat to refresh or regroup before heading back out. The cherry on top is literally on top. The 3rd floor leads to your private rooftop patio with views of the water, Elephant Mountain, and a west-facing view down the arm of Kootenay Lake that Nelson sits on. This space was made for sunset dinners, morning coffee, and honestly any time in between. Hang in out in the shade under the pergola, around the fire ring when it's cool; or have every meal with a stunning view. And there’s nothing wrong with being out there in the middle of winter when it’s dumping and you’re getting stoked about tomorrow’s day in the snow either. Plenty of room in a beautifully-designed space, perfectly located for whatever you’re coming to Nelson to enjoy. We hope you have a blast!
