Solar dos Reis offers a stone house attached to the mother house, a “palheiro” studio, with a double bed, living room, sofa bed, kitchen and toilet with shower. Maximum capacity for 4 people. The garden welcomes visitors. As you walk through it, you reach the heart of the house, where you will find a patio whose central area is occupied by the main house, small corners, comfortable living areas and access to the rest of the surrounding space of the property. The (heated) swimming pool and its views dazzle in all their fullness. Enjoy the Zen space and exercise outdoors, visit the organic garden and walk the barefoot mini-trail (natural reflexology therapy). Private parking is available outside the house. Wi-Fi is available in all areas. AREA Solar dos Reis is located in the western part of the island (the area with the greatest sun exposure in Madeira), in the parish of Tabua, municipality of Ribeira Brava, in an area bordering the municipality of Ponta do Sol. Explore some of the interests closest to the house, such as the Chapel of Our Lady of Conception. This chapel was a reconstruction of the old chapel with the same name, destroyed in the 1696 alluvial fan. Right next to the House is also the well-known Levada Nova, where you can explore on foot and enjoy the stunning views of the western part of Madeira Island. Near the House, there is also a connection to Paul da Serra by a dirt road that can be traveled by jeep, where you can enjoy exploring a more radical experience. There are other points of interest to explore during your stay at Solar dos Reis: Miradouro do Espigão (Ribeira Brava), MUDAS - Museum of Contemporary Art of Madeira (Calheta), Ponta do Sol Beach, Ethnographic Museum of Madeira (Ribeira Brava) and more. Funchal is about 20 minutes by car from Solar dos Reis. DIRECTIONS The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to schedule one with our local partners. It's cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport. If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address. ACCESS TO THE PROPERTY You have access to all areas of the property. INTERACTION We are always available to help or answer questions. We will do our best to respond to all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay. OTHER NOTES - According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID (e.g. passport, identity card). - Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If not scheduled within 48 hours, guests will be subject to the availability of our team. - All bed linens and towels are provided. We can also provide a crib, high chair and baby bath if needed. There is a first-aid kit, fire extinguishers and a fire blanket in all properties. ATTENTION Please be advised that a Tourist Tax will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Ribeira Brava. Thus, all customers staying in tourist developments and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 years or older, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights for a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay.
