The contemporary renovation has seen this former 1960's church turned into a spacious, and peaceful country retreat. The space has been completely transformed. For instance, the former altar is now a cooking and entertaining hub. This central hub overlooks the open living space that is cosy in winter, and light and airy in summer. The modern bathroom features a deep double bath that is the perfect place to unwind. Set in a relaxed rural setting within a small, lovely community that embraces fresh local produce, great local wineries, and the convenience of Cellar doors just 10 minutes drive away. Enjoy the surrounding historical towns of Beechworth, Myrtleford, and Bright, where you can laze the day away, exploring the markets, festivals, and beautiful eateries. Whorouly is in the heart of the Ovens Valley in NE Victoria. It's a short drive off the Snow Road between Wangaratta and Myrtleford. Whorouly is a small township with a local country feel. You can walk to the nearby cafe for a coffee in the morning or enjoy a meal at the pub for lunch or dinner. One thing is for sure, the Church Retreat is the ideal location to explore the region and all it has to offer!
