Description

Charming, Cozy Log Cabin Lodge awaits you! Revel in the farm’s quiet and beauty. The Lodge offers a Cathedral Ceiling, big fireplace, 10 bedrooms & full kitchen for 22 guests. With lawns, pastures, walking trails, streams and forests, the Lodge a true escape. Unwind as you are wrapped in a relaxed, inviting, safe, accepting space. Sip coffee with the sun. Meet horses. Stroll around the peaceful property. Dip in the pool. Eat under the stars. Sleep peacefully. Let stillness seep into your soul. The space An Enchanting Farm Stay Beckons After an easy drive from all points in New England, you will enter the gates of Stepping Stones Farm. The Lodge is located on a 28-acre farm, surrounded by hundreds of acres of conserved land while being an easy drive from the Boston, MA and Manchester, NH airports. From before the founding of our country, the farm has been a Gathering Place for the community, as well as weary travelers from afar. Stage coaches once stopped here on their arduous journey from Boston to Montreal. Today, it is a welcoming space for larger groups of family and friends, as well as retreat and corporate groups. 10 bedrooms, with comfortable mattresses and crisp white linens, invite an afternoon nap or a good night’s sleep. With an ADA Ramp, four bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor, the Lodge easily accommodates people with mobility challenges. The Great Room invites shared meals with two large dining tables. It also encourages lots of conversations and fun around the Fire Place with big comfy couches. The main room can also be reconfigured for meetings or retreats. With a fully finished basement, kids can have their own fun. Indoor games can be enjoyed and lots of puzzles made. A long front porch with rocking chairs encourages relaxation and connection. Outdoor dining with twinkling lights offers great opportunities to enjoy grilling out and lingering over a meal. Cool off in the swimming pool and watch the farm’s horses, goats and chickens from the Gazebo while you sip something cool. Play lawn games and enjoy S’Mores around the Fire Circle. Explore the 2nd floor of the massive three-story barn that remains the largest intact “Bank Barn” on the East coast. Corporate clients can meet in the spacious Wisdom Horse Conference Room with solid Wi-Fi and AV equipment needed to plan creatively and strengthen their teams. Retreat leaders can use the Yoga and Meditation Room for wellness programming. Friends and families can play ping pong and explore the nooks and crannies of this historic barn. All guests can enjoy the miniature horses, play with the goats, gather eggs from the Hen House and watch the horses grazing in the fields. The Lodge is dog-friendly. We welcome dogs to be in the house but not on the beds or furniture. We also invite dogs to stroll with their owners around the farm if they are on a leash. We like to keep your dogs, and our chickens, goats and horses safe and happy. Modern Comfort Meets Rustic Charm The Lodge has undergone extensive renovations since it was built 50 years ago. It offers high speed internet for multiple users. The large, bright kitchen is fully equipped with cooking and serving pieces to bring out the chef in anyone. With two quality stoves, large sinks, two refrigerators and a dishwasher, making meals for many is easy. Another upgrade for 2026 is the expanded, newly renovated space on the 2nd floor of the historic bank barn. Lodge visitors are encouraged to use the heated and cooled Wisdom Horse Room and Wisdom Horse Classroom. The Barn’s large open Lecture Space is excellent for presentations because it is well-lighted, has strong internet, offers ample seating, while maintaining its historic ambiance with a carriage and sleigh display. These spaces are available for an additional fee. Outdoor Relaxation The fields surrounding the farm, ringed by old growth forests, offer ample opportunities for fresh air, exercise and relaxation for all ages. Walking, running and biking opportunities abound. Kids can truly be free to explore the local woodlands and stay up late to enjoy the stars. During the spring, summer and fall, guests often enjoy dining outside with twinkling lights and a grill for all kinds of barbeque delights. A Fire Circle invites chatting and listening for the local owls as they hoot their good night songs. Deer often graze in the field in front of the farm, joined by pheasants, quail, partridge and wild turkeys. We offer additional on-farm experiences at a nominal extra fee. • “Meet the Minis” and gathering eggs from the Hen House are always a favorite for of kids of all ages, featuring two adorable minis, two friendly goats and a flock of hens. • A longer and truly fascinating guided tour of the farm and historic barn includes meeting the rest of the horses who call the farm home • A full Equine Experiential Session with up to five horses is a true favorite for both corporate groups, retreat attendees and families & friends • Finally, we will be offering horseback riding lessons and trail rides as a new feature of the Lodge beginning in 2026!
