Guest bathrobes are provided for your enjoyment in the hot tub. Although the home is just minutes from downtown, due to the wooded property and this neighborhood - you’ll have complete privacy. This home is a perfect spot from which you can venture out and enjoy the local restaurants, award winning wineries & breweries. The N. Umpqua river offers much: fishing, picnics, waterfall hikes, rafting and Crater Lake. We have kayaks available and would be happy to host you on a flat water section of a local lake. Roseburg is also known for our free summer outdoor concerts, Wildlife Safari and much more! The Oregon coast is just an hour away; and this home is about an hour south of Eugene. Ashland, known for more wineries and the Shakespeare festival, is about 2.5 hours away. We are the privileged 4th owners of this 1972 designer home, which has inspired for each, a very unique and special bond. We have a notebook filled with stories from these past owners about the love and devotion poured into the landscaping and character of the home. Gary, trained as an artist, with a career in design has continued this love relationship, adding his own special touches. LOL Due to several factors-the tiered landscaping and fragile art pieces throughout the home, we prefer adults only. Guest access Guests have access to the home and property. We have a gated driveway on a private street, you will be given the code prior to your arrival. The front door is on the main floor, the bedrooms are on the lower floor. There is a spiral staircase from the upper to lower floor. If you need assistance, we have a lift chair, that can be installed, with prior notice. If you would like, there is a private entrance on the lower floor. This is accessed from the stairs at the hot tub patio, or the street below the house and requires a walk up a fairly steep pathway. Other things to note Extra bedrooms are clean and locked. If you need an extra bedroom it is counted as a standard extra guest rate and needs to be booked up front with Airbnb. The same applies to the futons. Guest visitors should be limited to 6 max. This resort-like bnb is for entertainment only, not for party’s or events. Please be sensitive to kitchen odors for future bnb guests. We prefer cooking with plant based oils only. Pungent spices and animal based oils bind to the many textiles here and are hard to mitigate. Always use the stove fan on high and open the window. Do not leave wet towels, food or drinks or lotions ect. on furniture. You (the booking guest) are responsible for the property and all guests/visitors. You will be the go to Captain. Because of mid winter storm damage risks (we have had plenty this year) I occasionally stay in the private mini home with private entrance on the back property.
