100 Yr Old Craftsman - Walk To Plaza or Westport
We invite you to stay at our 106 year old craftsman in the historic West Plaza district. At less than 10 minutes walking to the iconic Country Club Plaza and 18 minutes walking to Westport, you won't need a vehicle to get to some of the most trendy restaurants and shopping in the Kansas City area. This craftsman has been beautifully decorated in a way that compliments the sophistication of the home. Contemporary materials and furniture bring fresh life into this classic American home. The space Size: The space is 2000 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Bedrooms: All three bedrooms are located upstairs (~14 stairs to reach upper floor). There is a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo to service the 2 guest bedrooms. There is a full bathroom attached to the master bedroom with a stand-up shower. All three bedrooms have memory foam mattresses. One of the beds has railing around it, perfect for toddlers/children but can be used by adults too. The railing around the bed cannot be removed. Travel Crib Included: In the room with the bed railing, there is a travel crib stored in the closet. The travel crib is a 2021 Nuna Aire with dimensions of L 40 x W 24.5 x H 30 in. The crib is convertible into both a bassinet mode or playard mode. Crib sheet not included. Kitchen: Kitchen appliances include a refrigerator, oven, microwave and dishwasher. For coffee, a Keurig with pods is included for free. Most basic cooking utensils are also included, as well as non-stick Granitestone pots and pans. There is a 1/2 bathroom located on the main floor between the kitchen and living room. Workspace: Equipped with 5G home internet and a dedicated workspace in the master bedroom. Parking: The driveway can accommodate multiple vehicles, but large vehicles can be difficult to turn around at the bottom of the driveway. If you have a large truck/SUV, it is recommended to park along the house rather than driving to the bottom of the driveway. Street parking is also available for free. There are a couple of steps up to the front door from the street level. Garage: There is a two car garage. The north garage is too small to fit most cars (even small ones) but the south garage can be used by guests with smaller vehicles. There is no clicker/keycode to open/close the garage from outside, so you will need to open/close from inside the garage to use it. To access the garage/basement from inside the home, there are roughly 14 stairs down to the lower level just off the kitchen. Electric Vehicles: The garage is equipped with a 240V Nema 14-50 plug to recharge electric vehicles. Charging equipment not included. Outdoor space: The house has both a front and back patio. Washer/Dryer: Guests can use washer and dryer,. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house with the exception of the owner's closet in the master bedroom which is used to hold supplies and personal items. Guests have access to the garage but it will need to be opened/closed from inside the home since there isn't a clicker. Other things to note We kindly ask that you have prior positive review history before booking the home. No parties, events, or small gatherings allowed. The house has a legal occupancy max of no more than 8 people in the house at one time but please also request approval if you plan to have guests in excess of those listed on the booking. Unauthorized guests will result in a $200 fee per guest per day/night. Hosting parties/events/gatherings at the house violates the neighborhood's short term rental bylaws and we would be required to take immediate action to end the event and booking. Only guests who are in the original booking are allowed to stay so please let us know if guest changes occur so we can update the booking. Our neighborhood is quiet with respectful neighbors, so please help to maintain the peace. Quiet hours per city ordinance are between 10 PM and 7 AM. Per the city, noise levels measured at the property boundaries shouldn't exceed that of a causal conversion (60 dBA) day or night. Smoking is prohibited in all areas, indoors and outdoors, within the boundary of the property. In an effort to maintain a secure premises, the house is equipped with a Nest doorbell camera and backyard camera. The cameras are ONLY on the exterior, and there are no cameras on the inside. The house is also equipped with a Minut device, which is required for our insurance policy. It measures noise pressure levels (not capable of audio recording), occupancy and monitors for cigarette smoke. If noise pressure or occupancy levels exceed reasonable limits for an extended period of time, or if cigarette smoke is detected, the system will send the primary guest an automated notification. The guest will be responsible for any fees resulting from violating city noise or occupancy ordinances during their stay. We are unable to accept booking requests and stays from local guests who are currently based in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. Registration number NSD-STR-00088
