Peaceful Cabin - 10 Acres - Wildlife - Hot Tub - Huge Fireplace - Protected Land
Description
Reconnect with what really matters - your family, your friends, yourself, nature, the real world, here at Standing Stone Cabin. Nestled on ten forested acres, our cabin sits beside thousands more of protected wild woods. It serves as a perfect basecamp for year-round outdoor activities and it offers a peaceful retreat from the everyday. The space Most Pocono rentals are tucked into crowded subdivisions. This one is different. Set hundreds of feet back from the road on ten private, forested acres, our home shares a border with thousands of acres of the protected Delaware State Forest. It is a rare, quiet basecamp for those who want to trade neighborhood noise for birdsong and an endless forest. Inside, the first floor offers an open layout where a striking, free-standing stone fireplace serves as the centerpiece of the vaulted great room. Settle into comfortable couches to enjoy the fireplace vibes or the warmth from the nearby wood stove. The well-equipped kitchen flows into the heart of the home: a gigantic dining table built for epic family-style meals, 1,000-piece puzzles, and late-night board games. While you’re definitely in the woods, you aren’t off the grid. High-speed SpaceX Starlink (130mbps), a 55" smart TV, and high-quality music options let you set whatever mood you’re looking for. Up the cantilevered staircase, you’ll find three comfortable bedrooms and a cozy reading nook. The bookshelves are full of our personal Hall of Fame of writing about the natural world and our relationship to it. On the back deck you can sit on the swing or soak in the hot tub while gazing into the woods. The XXL picnic table on the deck is as useful as the indoor table for family meals and games. The backyard features a fire pit for storytelling and a separate charcoal grilling station with countertops and benches so cooking out can stay social. Here, you've traded the "typical Pocono community" for easy access to the wild. In the evenings and early mornings, whitetail deer are a common sight around the house. In the early summer, black bear are often spotted crossing the property in their endless ramblings. Hike: Multiple trailheads are less than 2 minutes away.
