Whether you're chasing Atlantic swell or a round on a championship course, this rare base has it all. The space Surfers Lodge is a detached, two-floor annex, built with quality and comfort in mind. Downstairs, a fully equipped kitchen flows into an open-plan living and dining area. Settle onto the corner sofa for a film night, or push open the bi-fold doors onto your own private patio and garden to catch the evening light. Upstairs, two sleeping areas: a light, airy king-size room at one end and a single at the other, separated by a sleek shower room with a waterfall shower, wash basin, WC and underfloor heating. Right on your doorstep, a boardwalk path winds around Royal Porthcawl Golf Club, hugging the shoreline with sweeping views across the Bristol Channel to Somerset and Exmoor, before leading on to Sker House, a lovingly restored 13th-century manor and the wide, unspoilt sands of Sker Beach and Kenfig National Nature Reserve, home to otters, rare orchids and over 200 species of birds. Golfers have three courses within a 10-minute drive. Royal Porthcawl, Pyle & Kenfig, and Grove Golf Club - making Surfers Lodge a genuine base for a multi-round golf break without ever needing to change accommodation. Head the other way and it's a short stroll into Porthcawl town, with its little harbour, seafront cafés, bars and restaurants to explore, plus the seasonal fun fair for a bit of old-school seaside charm. Guest access Access to Surfers Lodge is via the rear driveway, with your own private entrance and a lockbox for easy self check-in, come and go as you please. Other things to note The driveway is shared and in constant use, so we ask guests to park instead in the private car park right next to Surfers Lodge, just a few steps from the front door.
