Nestled at the end of one of the most historic streets in Walla Walla, Menlo Place is an adorable 1940's bungalow spread out over two floors with plenty of room for groups up to six. Recently updated, the house is clean and comfortable with easy walkability to Whitman campus but probably more suitable for a Lyft ride if you're downtown and have had a long day of imbibing. Take time to relax and enjoy our beautiful Walla Walla evenings grilling on the patio with a glass of wine and your crew! Menlo Place was updated in 2019 and while it retains much of it's period charm, kitchen upgrades including all new appliances as well as clean up to date bathrooms make your stay much more comfortable. Additionally the downstairs has a large space dedicated to entertaining, with a huge bar and prep space, second refrigerator and microwave as well as a dishwasher. Provided games, a second table, television and large sectional make it a great place to hang out and relax inside. Bonus fourth bedroom can be used instead as a dedicated office space with plenty of privacy, high speed internet, and a comfortable desk to work from. Please park in the driveway or on the street in front of the home. Please do not block neighbors driveway or street parking in front of their homes. Feel safe walking to Whitman or Main Street. Highway access is direct and simple giving guests great access to the airport, wineries, and the community college. Available via text and email. Our historic neighborhood is close to various parks as well as Honorary Adam West Way (also known as Alvarado Terrace). The nearby streets are lined with towering London Plane’s and many architectural gems including the childhood home of Adam West, the original Batman, just a few blocks away. It is quiet and safe with Whitman College as a buffer between the house and downtown. Walking will be perfectly suitable for most to access downtown and the college and there is public transit access half a block from the home. To take full advantage of what our area has to offer we recommend having access to a car or booking tours with the various local wine tour services. Menlo Place has recently changed management but has been operating as a successful Airbnb with a cumulative 4.95 star rating since April of 2021 with no change in on the ground support.
