FRONT PORCH Enter the home through the main entrance from the front porch overlooking the charming downtown neighborhood, and walk into the open-concept main floor living space. KITCHEN Make a relaxing meal in the remodeled kitchen, where you'll find all stainless steel appliances including a 4-burner gas range and oven. Mix up a cocktail while you're at it (plenty of ice in the ice maker), or brew a pot of tea for you and your guests. With seating at the large island for four, and a fully stocked kitchen with all the pots and pants, utensils, bakeware, etc., you'll be able to prepare all the meals you like. If that's not your speed, order a meal in, or walk to downtown Raleigh to eat at one of the city's many great restaurants. Local eateries, included esteemed, award-winning restaurants, are only 10-15 minute short walk by foot, or 5 minutes by Uber or Lyft. Complimentary coffee and tea. LIVING ROOM The living room is open to the kitchen for easy entertaining. 50" smart TV and seating for 4. The sofa is also a sleeper. We've got plenty of extra linens and pillows if you'd like to bring a 5th person! One of our favorite parts of this bugalow style historic home is its tall ceilings, which you'll enjoy in the open floor living room and kitchen area. BEDROOM ONE The first floor bedroom sits at the back of the home with views out onto the back patio and fenced in backyard. The plush queen bed has 1000 count linens and plenty of pillows! Dresser and closet for storage - and private entrance to the full bathroom. Overhead fan for those who like airflow! MAIN BATHROOM Shower, tub, and washer dryer for your use! You'll find plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hairdryer, and even towels for removing makeup. Complimentary toiletries and modern amenities. SECOND BEDROOM The second bedroom is upstairs. Featuring a high quality, KING SIZE bed frame from Article, this room is perfect for sleeping in and spreading out. With room darkening curtains and an overhead fan, expect comfort and a great night's sleep on the plush mattress in the spacious bed. HALF BATH There is half bath upstairs for your use, too. Both bathrooms have hairdryers, makeup towels, and extra special touches like cotton balls and cotton swabs to help make your stay easy and comfortable. OFFICE The office is accessible by passing through the second bedroom (there is a door between the two spaces). It sits in a loft overlooking the first bedroom. The modem and router are in this room for those who wish to plug directly into the modem for an ethernet connection. We have fast and free wifi for those wishing to work from home. PATIO & BACKYARD The private patio is a backyard oasis and has seating for 4-5 people. The outdoor lights are on an automatic timer and will turn on when it gets dark! The backyard is fenced in and is all yours. At the end of the grassy yard, there is a fire pit and a little shed where we like to do morning yoga! Bring your mat! The backyard is also perfect for your pets and children as it's fully fenced. WALKABILITY This is a superbly comfortable home. It's so well appointed and so well stocked - and so close to everything downtown Raleigh has to offer. The home is in a quiet residential neighborhood while being a short walk from fine dining, great restaurants, loads of entertainment, and downtown Raleigh's city lights. It's an oasis in the city! Perfect for your trip to our state's capital. PARKING Off street parking: We have room for 1-2 cars in our driveway. There is also free street parking right out front for those who have more than 1-2 cars or are driving large vehicles. You'll have the entire home to yourself! Dedicated parking for 2 cars in driveway with additional street parking available. Private fenced-in backyard with patio. We'll be available should you need help with anything at all! Adjacent to Boylan Heights, this community's tall, narrow homes combine space and views with the convenience of newer construction. Often compared to San Francisco's "Painted Ladies," this charming neighborhood features homes with rooftop decks that offer stunning skyline and Dix park views. Nearby historic Boylan Heights is consistently listed as one of the most attractive areas near downtown Raleigh. Great walking! WHAT'S NEARBY Boulted Bread, Dorothea Dix Park, Downtown, Sam Jones BBQ, Vault Craft Beer Shop, Red Hat Amphitheater. RDU Airport is 20 minutes by car. Easy parking for cars! Walkable to downtown Raleigh - or easy to catch an Uber or Lyft to wherever you're headed. There are stairs to enter the home and access the second bedroom upstairs. There is an Amtrak station about half a mile away. You can hear the trains. For those who wish to bring pets, please note that we charge $75 per pet. Please inquire if you'd like to see our pet policy prior to booking. Thank you. No unregistered pets, please. If we find you have brought an animal without a pet fee and pet policy agreement, we will charge $200. We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we've partnered with Know Your Guest, the leading vacation rental guest-screening provider. We ask that each guest complete this identification process and purchase either a deposit or waiver. The $500 deposit comes with a $15 transaction fee and the waiver costs a flat $35 to purchase. These costs are nonrefundable while the $500 deposit is refundable and will be released within 7-14 days after the reservation ends.
