Palmetto Porch is the perfect vacation getaway for almost any family. It has plenty of exploring space (nature!), plenty of outdoor living space, and plenty of indoor living space (when nature decides you need to be indoors instead). There are gathering rooms a-plenty with the media room, the kitchen, the sunroom, or the beautifully appointed screened-in porch. The options & opportunities are endless. Pick your direction, grab a martini and enjoy all that the island and our house has to offer! The space Palmetto Porch has ample space and rooms for multiple families. The master bedroom features a king sized bed, and of course - the master bath. Adjoining the master bedroom is one of the most functional rooms in the house, where it can be a sunroom, another bedroom that sleeps up to 2 people on a twin trundle bed, or an office getaway. We know it's not fun to work on vacation, but if you must, we've designed a room to help you take the edge off. The guest bedroom is an elegantly appointed bedroom with a queen bed. The bunk room does what it does best - the 4 bunks are the perfect sleep-over experience for kids. Or adults! Downstairs Bedroom - On the main floor, we have a wonderful bedroom with another king-sized bed. Media Room: This room has it all, with a gas fireplace, foosball table, Streaming media TV, a gaming/puzzle table, and seating for everyone who is staying at Palmetto Porch. Screened-in Porch: The screened-in porch will become your favorite destination after a long day at the beach. An outdoor dining table for 6 (but actually can fit 8), along with comfortable seating throughout. Keep the bugs out, but the smiles in while you enjoy the outside, without being, well, outside. Game Garage: Sometimes nature will change your plans. And when it does, challenge your family to a game of Ping Pong in the garage. Outdoor hot/cold shower: We get it. You're covered in sand because you soaked up our South Carollina Beach (and beach sand) like a sponge! Enjoy a nice hot shower as you wash away the sand (but not the memories). Grill and grilling deck: Pull up a chair, open a beer and let the grill do it's thing. A beautiful Weber Genesis grill will help you relax because you're not stressing about dinner (nobody stresses when they are grilling). Solo Stove firepit: throw a couple pieces of wood into the Solo stove (smokeless!) firepit and talk about the day while roasting a s'more or two. Guest access The fireplace is usable only from October through March (Trust us - this thing cranks out so much heat, you won't want it any other time than the dead of winter.) The driveway can accommodate up to 6 cars. The space next to the driveway is the perfect place to park a boat. Other things to note If you have any special inquiries such as changing the day of your arrival, # of days for a minimum stay, or any other requests, please feel free to contact us via the AirBnB reservation inquiry tool. Palmetto Porch is perfectly situated on the island, being only minutes from the beach or the marina. If you have a boat, bring a boat! There is plenty of space on our driveway or next to the driveway on the side yard to store it. Being literally 100 yards from the Marina makes it an easy process to drop your boat in, but park at Palmetto Porch (available day-use trailer parking at the marina can be tricky during the summer).
