And of course, there is the ultimate chill-out space – your own wood-fired Scandinavian hot tub, great for leaving the hustle and bustle well and truly behind you! To the south, a short drive takes you to coastal towns of Looe and Polperro or the villages of Cawsand and Kingsand all steeped in history with tales of smuggling and wrecking. Their narrow streets revealing an array of restaurants and shops and beautiful cottages too. The beaches on this part of the coast are numerous and offer coves, inlets and low-tide rockpools – perfect for children of all ages to explore! The beautiful towns of Liskeard and Tavistock have many amenities and superb architecture and are well worth a visit. Take the train from Liskeard railway station, all the way to Plymouth, where spectacular scenery unrolls before you as you pass through the Lynher and Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
