Spend a morning kayaking or fishing at the lake and hiking the beautiful forest trails all just minutes from the house. Visit local wineries in the afternoon and then enjoy a BBQ dinner on the large deck and good conversation at the fire pit among the trees! Cozy and charming 2 story cabin, totaling 1276 square feet Fully fenced back yard. Bring your furbabies! The living room, kitchen and a bathroom are on the first floor 2 spacious bedrooms and another bathroom are on the second floor. Each bedroom has a queen bed. The living room can accommodate 2 more guests on the pull-out queen sofa bed. Children 6 years of age and younger do not count towards the maximum guest count of 4. Large deck in backyard with picnic table, patio heater, string lights and propane BBQ that is perfect for lounging around and those outdoor meals! Enjoy sunsets among the trees! The master bedroom has its own large deck with seating and string lights. There is also a spacious desk if you need to work from home during your stay. The living room and both bedrooms all have large, flat screen, smart TVs with Comcast cable and the ability to stream using your accounts. The back yard is large and mostly level with plenty of room for kids to run around. There is a coffee station with coffee maker, coffee, tea, creamer, sugar etc. There is a full size washer and dryer in the kitchen for your use. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could possibly think of! Dishes, appliances, spices, baby/toddler dishware, etc. There is a wall heater and pellet stove on the first floor. There is a space heater in each bedroom to keep you cozy on those chilly winter nights. There is also a powerful air circulator fan in each bedroom to keep you cool on those hot summer nights. Guest access There is a long driveway to park multiple cars and there is also a covered carport and plenty of street parking (no parking on the street during active snow fall please) The house has a detached garage, but it is not available for guest use. Other things to note Highway 50 entrance is just 10 minutes from the house, down the main road (Sly Park). There is a Safeway, CVS and gas station at the shopping center right near the entrance. There are also a few restaurants, including a new Mexican restaurant and 50 Grand. Additionally, you can follow Pony Express to Carson Road to get to Apple Hill area. NOTE: During the snow season, a snow plow will come around late morning/early afternoon to plow the street. You cannot park on the street during these times or the plow cannot do its job. If you don't have the appropriate vehicle for snow or visit during a larger snowstorm with feet of snow, you may have to depend on the street to be plowed to drive on the street. And there may be times you will need to shovel to get your car out of the driveway as the driveway will not be plowed during an active snow storm (shovel will be provided for your use). If a snow storm is predicted, I recommend parking your car(s) at the end of the driveway near the street to make it easier to get out. We can get multiple feet of snow! Chains may also be required to drive Highway 50 (or 4WD and snow tires) further east to Tahoe area and sometimes coming from Placerville back to the house. Please plan accordingly. This is the sierras and mountain life can be unpredictable! It's recommended to check Caltrans maps for current road conditions and chain control stops. During the winter months, we may need to cancel a reservation last minute (I will work with Airbnb) This is due to the possibility of severe snow storms and/or power outages.
