Quail Run Tiny Guest House offers a cozy space that evokes feelings of stepping into the Old West. It features mountain views, a patio for watching stars or enjoying meals in the open and a fire pit, roast marshmallows and plan your coming day of exploration. This guest house sits on its own lot, next door to your hosts, part of a widely scattered rural community giving it a "lone ranger" feel. It is quiet and peaceful except for the cries of the quail and occasional coyote. As we planned this house, we kept in mind the needs of the mobility challenged folks. Technically, the home is wheelchair accessible, however the space may be too tight to be comfortable for the average wheelchair user. **NOTE** The bathroom head clearance is about 6 feet. So if you are a tall person, it will cause you to duck down when using the facilities and shower. We live next door and don't mind a knock on the door or phone call, as needed. I also spend a lot of time on my porch working on my art and really enjoy the company of guests if they care to join me for a cup of tea and conversation. We are close to town, yet it is rural where we live. You will have a great view of the Sacramento Mountain Range and it is only a 16 mile trip up into the mountains to the small, scenic community of Cloudcroft, in the Lincoln National Forest. A 20 mile jaunt in the other direction is White Sands National Park which is a wondrous place! In order to access local shopping and restaurants, you need to have a car, as we live outside of town and it is a long jaunt to the nearest bus stop. **Please note!** I will consider pets on an individual basis. If I approve your request here is our policy: while you are visiting, your pet may NOT be allowed to stay in the house unattended and when outside, must be on a leash. If after checkout any damage or droppings are discovered around or inside the tiny house, the owners will be billed for clean-up, repair or replacement of damaged property.
