The kitchen is big and a good place for everyone to gather for chopping and stirring then eating at the long wooden table. Two big doors open out into the garden terrace for sprawling in the sunshine, or escaping with a book. Bedrooms are delightful with faded fabrics, lovely paintings, window seats for gazing, ornate fireplaces and rugs on wooden floors; furniture is a clever mix of antique and mid-century. The master has its own loo and bath tub and the rest share the family bathroom. Half an acre of walled garden has a firepit, barbecue, an orchard then a lovely meadow-like space with tables and chairs, and a vintage caravan which children will love to hide away in during the summer.
