Escape the city and reset at The Cottage at Nature’s Edge, a cozy 2BR cabin on 7 private wooded acres just 15 minutes from Shenandoah National Park. Perfect for couples or small families, this peaceful retreat blends modern comfort, privacy, and nature. Dogs welcome. Book your escape. The space 🌲 Your reset in the woods If you’re feeling burnt out, overstimulated, or just need a break from the noise, this is your place. The Cottage at Nature’s Edge is a private 2BR retreat tucked into 7 wooded acres, where mornings are quiet, the air is fresh, and the only real decision is whether to hike first or hot tub first. Spring is an especially good time to visit. The forest turns green again, mornings stay cool, and the hiking is excellent before summer crowds arrive. 🧭 Location that actually works → You get seclusion without isolation. ✔ 15 min to Shenandoah National Park ✔ About 20 min to the South River Falls trailhead ✔ Easy access to waterfalls, overlooks, and trailheads ✔ Close enough for restaurants and small-town stops, far enough to feel off-grid 💦 Relaxation comes easy here → This cabin is built for slowing down. • Private hot tub with forest views • Fire pit with Adirondack chairs • String lights on the front porch and back deck • Front porch dining table for coffee, dinner, or a slow glass of wine • Electric fireplace for cozy evenings inside No schedule. No pressure. Just space. 🛏️ Sleep like you should again • 2 Queen bedrooms with Tuft & Needle mattresses • Fresh linens and towels • Quiet surroundings for real rest 🍳 Simple, thoughtful comforts • Fully equipped kitchen • Hibachi grill for outdoor cooking • Keurig Duo, French press, and pour-over carafe • 65-inch Smart TV for streaming • High-speed fiber internet (400 Mbps) • Board games and cards for a low-tech night in 🐾 Bring the dog Up to 2 approved dogs are welcome. Shenandoah is one of the most dog-friendly national parks, which makes this a great base for guests who want to bring the whole crew. ⭐ Why guests love it Guests consistently mention the peaceful setting, easy access to Shenandoah, comfortable beds, thoughtful amenities, and how relaxing it is to end the day in the hot tub or around the fire pit. 🎯 Best for • Couples who need a reset • Low-key romantic getaways • Small families unplugging for a few days • Hikers who want comfort after a day outside If you’re looking for loud, busy, and packed schedules, this isn’t it. If you want quiet mornings, fresh air, and space to recharge, book your stay or send a message. Guest access 🔐 Easy self check-in Before arrival, you’ll receive a unique access code for secure self check-in. 🏠 Full private access You’ll have the entire cabin to yourself during your stay. 🚗 Arrival notes The cabin is on a gravel road, and we strongly recommend following the driving instructions in our digital guide since GPS can be unreliable in the area. Other things to note 📋 A few simple things to know before booking We keep things simple and fair. Please read these before booking: • No parties or events • Maximum occupancy is 4 guests • Pets are allowed with approval. Fee is $30 per stay for up to 2 well-behaved dogs • No smoking or vaping indoors • Check-in is 4 PM and check-out is 11 AM • Late checkout without approval is $100 per hour 💳 Damage and extra cleaning We get it. Things happen. But guests are responsible for: • Damage to the cabin or its contents • Missing items • Excessive cleaning beyond normal use 🛁 Use at your own risk The hot tub, fire pit, and outdoor areas are used at your own risk. Please follow posted guidelines and use common sense. 🌲 Nature is real here This is a wooded property, not a hotel. • Wildlife, including black bears, may be nearby • Bugs can still show up even though we treat regularly • Please keep vehicles locked and do not leave food outside 🔥 Fire pit Please check for local burn bans before using the fire pit. Firewood is provided. Make sure the fire is fully out before leaving it unattended. 📸 Condition on arrival If something is not right when you arrive, please let us know within 3 hours so we can make it right quickly. Your rental agreement requires prompt reporting of cleaning or damage issues. 📄 Rental agreement required before arrival After booking, you’ll receive a short rental agreement to review and sign before arrival. Airbnb allows this, but hosts must disclose the actual contract terms in the listing description before booking. In plain English, the agreement covers: • house rules and occupancy limits • guest responsibility for damage, missing items, and extraordinary cleaning • approved pets only • no parties, unlawful activity, or indoor smoking/vaping • use of the hot tub and amenities at your own risk • a requirement to report problems promptly after arrival • authorization to charge for covered damages, excessive cleaning, unauthorized pets, smoking, or unauthorized late checkout as outlined in the agreement • ID verification and signature required before arrival Nothing exotic. Just clear expectations on both sides. The full agreement will be sent after booking for review and signature. 🚫 This may not be the right fit if… • You’re planning a party • You want a hotel-style environment • You’re uncomfortable with a natural wooded setting • You don’t want to review and sign a rental agreement before arrival
