This newly constructed garage apartment is in a desirable location, close to the village of Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and Kebo Golf Course. The space is designed to be bright and comfortable, with its own entrance and 1-2 outdoor parking spaces. The walk to town is easily done within 10-15 minutes, allowing you to skip parking fees. The space is pet-friendly and a standard pet fee of $50 is initiated when you click that you are bringing a pet when booking. The space There are stairs leading up to the apartment, so guests must be comfortable and able to climb. The apartment has a studio feel, but does have a separate bedroom for privacy. There is a queen bed in the bedroom, and a futon in the living room. Wifi allows for Amazon and Apple tv streaming. The kitchen space is small, but well equipped for most needs. The bathroom has a shower and a washer/dryer unit. The unit is cooled/heated by a heat pump, so there is air conditioning available in the warmer months. There is a tiny SIDE yard space for your use, with a charcoal grill and propane fire pit. The backyard is reserved for the property owner only. We have two river kayaks (only safe for freshwater) that you are welcome to borrow, but you must have a means of transporting them (we do have foam supports and straps for your rack). The location is great, being a short (~8 min) bike ride to Acadia National Park's network of carriage paths, and an easy walk to town (~10-15 mins) so you can avoid parking fees. The Island Explorer passes right by the property, which will take you all over the island for free. There is a local seafood shop (Parson's) 4 doors down, and Kebo Golf Course is just beyond that. Guest access Guests have a private entrance to the apartment, their own designated outdoor parking space in the shared driveway, and a small side yard area for grilling. The garage and remainder of property are private to the hosts. Well behaved dogs are always welcome! However, if you have pets, please keep them from urinating on the buildings or fences. Other things to note The apartment is situated on Eagle Lake Rd, which is the primary thoroughfare between town and the rest of the island; therefore, it can be quite busy. If you require 2 parking spaces, please let us know at the time of booking.
