This exquisite and bright apartment is perfect for your holidays in Porto! The Alice apartment was considered as one the chicest spots to stay in Portugal's historic wine region, described as “an Art Noveau townhouse filled with antiques” in the article “The best Airbnbs in Porto”, published by the well know luxury and lifestyle travel Condé Nast’s magazine CNTraveller (4 September 2023) The space Upon arriving at the apartment from exploring the city, you will relax enjoying a Porto wine against the background of the beautiful view of the “Duques” district with its tall trees. The elegant apartment is located in an Art Nouveau-style building in Porto. The house's restoration work is the result of our commitment to this family project. On the entrance floor you will find a lounge where you can prepare your drink (we provide drinks to our guests), choose a book from the shelf in the hallway, listen to music, and breathe the atmosphere of the period, the typical atmosphere of a bourgeois house of Porto from the turn of the 19th century to the 20th century Via the elevator or stairs you go up to the apartment floor. The apartment is very comfortable, bright and functional, even for longer stays. The environment conveys authenticity and refinement. The openly eclectic decor is punctuated by pieces from different periods and origins. All these pieces are authentic and have been recovered. This is the only way to achieve true sustainability of the planet and respect for nature. All the old wood and beams in the house that had to be replaced were reused to make some furniture, namely the beds and headboards. On the walls are some works by European artists: Vitor Fortes, Antoni Rossi Guel, Johannes Miedema and António Maria The lighting is designed for you to enjoy great comfort. You will find several lamps from our collection, from classic oil ceiling lamp in the entrance, adapted to electricity, and crystal chandeliers, to the 70's lamps such as the Dijkstra wall lamp, the Peter Nelson table lamp and the Palm Lamp by Massive. Guest access On the ground floor we have a living room where guests have Porto wine and other drinks, some books and magazines at their disposal. In the apartment you will find fresh fruit and Porto wine offered for consumption upon arrival. Only the guests indicated in the "accommodation bulletin" will be able to stay in the apartment.
