Welcome to The Original, a one-of-a-kind apartment, located on La Crosse's historic Pearl Street. The building was constructed in 1870 and is on the list of National Historic buildings in downtown La Crosse. This grand 2800 sq. ft. apartment was home to the original Gundersen Clinic, founded by the pioneering physician Adolf Gundersen. Though not a doctor’s office any longer, be assured you’ll be well cared for. The space Some highlights include: - A spacious and fully equipped kitchen including everything you need for a casual evening or a formal sit down dinner. - Three large bedrooms including a King room with a new ensuite bath, a River room with one queen bed, and the Gundersen room with two queen beds. *The Gundersen room shares a wall with a bar so this room receives noise at night. - A moody Parlour that’s perfect for celebrating or relaxing contains a 60" smart TV, a chess and checkers pub table, a variety of games, and a vintage bar with barware. - A wedding room that’s perfect for getting ready for the big event in your life. It’s versatile arrangement allows it to be used as a private office, meditation room, or the perfect place for your morning coffee. - A large living room with an original red brick fireplace with gas insert. - One block from the La Crosse Convention Center, shops, and restaurants. - Covered parking within one block. -Window air conditioner units are located in each bedroom as well the Parlour. - Licensed by the city of La Crosse Health Department. Guest access Lockbox with hard keys The apartment is located on the 2nd floor. Guests should be comfortable climbing and carrying luggage up a flight of stairs to access the apartment. Other things to note The apartment is located in the heart of downtown nightlife near many bars and restaurants. On busy nights, the bars are loud and you will hear noise until bar time. If you're looking for a quiet stay, this (unfortunately) is not the best place to stay.
