Karmix Cottage was fully updated in 2022 and sits on 5 fenced acres, surrounded by sprawling pastures, old growth trees and epic views of Mt. Moriarty and Mt. Arrowsmith. Enjoy full privacy in the well-stocked cottage while enjoying the tranquility of rural life close to town. The cottage is 4 minutes away from a major grocery store and Oceanside Arena. We are very close to the famous Parksville beaches and the highway to Tofino. The space This 3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom former farmhouse has all the modern comforts including a new heat pump for heating and air conditioning and hot water on demand. Two bedrooms have queen beds and one room has two twin beds. Huge windows in the living area make it a great spot for relaxing with a book or chilling out with Netflix in a separate area by the woodstove. There is also a motorized sit/stand desk in the livingroom and fast wifi for those who can tear themselves away from the view to work. For outdoor living, there is a propane BBQ on a covered deck leading to fruit trees and the pastures beyond. The hosts also live on the property, a comfortable distance away and are available to assist quickly if required. Guest access Guests are welcome to explore the property but for your safety, please request a guide before entering any fenced/gated areas. Please respect your host's privacy and avoid wandering too close to their house/deck. Other things to note *Karmix Cottage is cleaned and maintained by the hosts to ensure a 5-star experience* We are located near Little Qualicum Cheeseworks, an artisan dairy farm with fresh milk on tap and delicious cheese made on site. Expect the sights, sounds, and sometimes smells of farm life here. Our small flock of ducks quack away in their pond and neighbouring cows can be heard while they are mooing the lawn. Bald eagles and ravens are often calling overhead and you can even hear the sea lions barking for fish 2.5km away in French Creek Marina. At least the deer are silent. Located in the centre of so many great sporting opportunities, we welcome golfers, scuba divers, hockey players, mountain bikers, skiers, snowboarders, snowmobilers, surfers and anyone else who has lots of gear.
