Nature/Sanctuary Century-old Guanacaste trees encompass the property and house families of Howler monkeys that love to visit (yes, that means adorable baby monkeys in tow!). Located only a short 4 minute walk from the most beautiful beach in the Nosara area, the house is also situated next to a breathtaking bird sanctuary. A true delight for bird lovers: next door you will see and hear the vibrant and majestic macaws, from the traditional red-yellow-blue parrots to the more rare blue-yellow birds and more, making the house a magical combination of luxury and jungle. Pool Whether you like to start your day with a refreshing dip or a morning lap session, the 25-meter pool is always a favorite feature for our guests. Accomodation: Master Bedroom The stand alone and spacious master bedroom hosts a king size bed, generous closet space and a full jack-and-jill bathroom with a pool and garden view. Master Suite The second master bedroom of Casa Catalina is located on the upper level, featuring a terrace, king size bed, desk for working, a full bath and an outdoor shower. Queen Rooms With two queen bedrooms on the lower level of the master suite, each bedroom features a queen sized bed, couch, walk-in closet, full bathroom, and sliding glass doors bringing in natural light and landscaping views. The two separate rooms have a connecting interior door to adjoin the rooms, if desired. Kitchen and Living Area As you enter, you’re greeted by a beautiful dining area and a brand new, fully furnished kitchen with stainless steel appliances. The kitchen and dining area flow into the living room which has a large mounted TV and a comfortable sofa for viewing. With sliding glass doors that open to the pool and garden, our guests find the layout of this space makes for a versatile and fun atmosphere, no matter the group or occasion. Pool and Outdoor Areas Cool off with a 25-meter lap pool that’s perfect for swimming laps, simply taking a dip or playing with the kids. With a main garden area at the center of the property, flanking each side of the kitchen and dining area you will find an outdoor lounge area as well as a BBQ area. If you are craving a jungle experience without sacrificing any luxuries and comforts, Casa Catalina is your Costa Rican home away from home. Every room has sliding glass doors, allowing the sunshine and fresh air to flow in. You don’t even need to leave the property to experience a glimpse of the best of Costa Rican wildlife: hearing and seeing the incredible and colorful macaws as well as the families of howler monkeys that populate the gorgeous and veteran trees surrounding the property.
