Wildflower Condo-Close to Ski Trailhead and Town!

Wildflower is located in Winthrop, with all the comforts and amenities of home. This vacation rental provides accommodations for up to 6 guests, with 3 upstairs bedrooms: a king-bed primary suite with an attached bathroom and shower, a queen-bed room, and one with 2 Twin beds. The 2nd upstairs bathroom includes a tub/shower combination. There is also a half bathroom downstairs. A/C is available on the main floor and in the king & queen bedrooms upstairs. The space Other features include a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area that seats 6, plus stools at the breakfast bar, a living area with seating for 6, a cozy river rock gas fireplace, and an inviting private deck with an electric grill. The one-car garage is available for guest use to store your skis or bikes, or to wax your skis. The living room includes a television with local stations and a DVD player. WiFi is included (although this is the mountains—so no guarantees!). A/C is available on the main floor and in the King and Queen bedroom upstairs. The setting here is beautiful, with views of the local foothills and bountiful wildlife, including deer, eagles, and quail. Wildflower is just 1.5 miles from the center of the old west town of Winthrop in the Cascade Condominiums, a neighborhood easily accessible from Highway 20. This property is close to everything! Enjoy a stroll through downtown Winthrop, where you can eat at one of several restaurants and coffee shops, shop at the local bookstore or gallery, go mini golfing, and taste wine at our local winery. Go ice skating at the Winthrop Ice Rink or catch a movie at the Barnyard Cinema. Wildflower is also close to amenities including the grocery store, gas station, local hardware store, and post office. Best of all, there are plenty of outdoor activities nearby, including the extensive Methow Trails, with groomed trails in the winter (cross-country skiing, fat biking, snowshoeing) and hiking/biking trails in the summer. North Cascades National Park is a short drive. The town of Twisp is just 7 miles down the road, with additional restaurants and galleries. Guest access Guests will receive directions/lockbox code 3 days before arrival and have access to the whole unit. Other things to note EXTREMELY IMPORTANT YEAR-ROUND TRAVEL INFORMATION--READ BEFORE BOOKING A RESERVATION: 1)It is the responsibility of the guest to have travel plans in place to travel either over the North Cascades via Highway 20 OR to travel over Stevens Pass through Leavenworth OR to travel I-90 over Snoqualmie to Blewett Pass through Wenatchee and then up the Columbia River to the Methow Valley. If one route is closed, please plan your alternate travel. NO REFUNDS will be given at any time of the year simply because an alternate route must be taken, adding additional travel time. Highway 20 is closed in the winter, and mountain passes can be closed at any time of the year due to wildfires, rockslides, or other events. Directions over all the routes will be sent to you 3 days before your arrival. Make sure to check the pass reports (and they can change while you are en route) and print out the directions before you leave. 2)Trail Access/Closure Information: If you are coming to hike, bike, or ski on a trail or system of trails which happen to be closed before or during your stay, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. Trail closures can occur at any time due to fire, rockslides, mudflows... and we have no control over them. There are many hiking and biking trails of various kinds in the Methow Valley. If access to the North Cascades National Park is closed via Hwy 20 for any reason, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. There are many beautiful hikes, in and around our valley, that we would be happy to recommend. INTERNET POLICY **We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley, and outages or tech issues can occur that we can’t control. For these reasons, we’re unable to issue refunds if the internet connection is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through Airbnb describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue isn’t resolved, we’ll contact the internet provider and/or the homeowner. Our valley is very rural, and getting service personnel to fix issues promptly can be challenging. We rent lodging, not office space. Public internet is available at the Winthrop library, with enhanced internet speed (in the parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. Thank you for your understanding! IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION POLICY : **Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months, it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme, with heavy snowfall, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, and impassable roads/driveways. If it snows while you are here, you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads and driveways to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Please cooperate and be patient, especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck, you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA **WEATHER CONDITIONS** We cannot be responsible for weather conditions. If you will be arriving during the winter, please be sure you have proper equipment for driving in the snow, and carry tire chains for driving over the passes. Our local roads are always kept open and in good condition for winter travel. There are no refunds for road closures; however, if both the Stevens and Snoqualmie mountain passes are closed for more than 8 hours and the closures prevent you from reaching the property, you may reschedule your stay to arrive within 3 months of the pass closures. Please note that the North Cascades Pass is always closed during winter. We recommend you check weather conditions before driving through the passes during the winter at the DOT’s website. **Propane Fireplace--The propane stove is a supplemental heating source, not the main one. If there are any tech issues with the propane fireplace during your stay, please send a message through Airbnb. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer than your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given. The guest will use the main electric heating source whenever the propane stove is out of operation.
