The upper unit of this duplex provides a central location with the feel of relaxation. Step out your door to fly fish, bike or hike. Many other activities are only minutes away such as golf, iceskating, museums, water sports, snow sports, gambling casinos and hot springs. Wouldn't you rather be "Down by the River"? Our lovingly cared-for property is comfortable and clean. You will have complete use of the upper unit of this duplex. It has two private entrances. One entrance has two french doors that open to the gorgeous river view. Full kitchen has all basic essentials for preparing your own meals. Bedrooms have two queen beds. Living room with TV and comfortable couch for lounging. Riverview deck has chairs and table for dining or refreshments. The space is not ideal for infants, toddlers or young children as the stairs at entrance and exit create some hazards. Guests have full access of upper unit and upper decks. The opportunity to visit with my guests, if they so desire, is one of the joy's of hosting. I value diversity and want guests from all walks of life to feel welcome. Our neighborhood offers a scenic view of the Animas River and Silverton Railroad. We are within walking distance to City Market, Recreation Center, and River Trail. Some local venues with live music can be heard from the deck. Other highlights nearby include Lemon Reservoir, Hillcrest Golf Club, Dalton Country Club, Fort Lewis College, Durango Fish Hatchery, Education and Nature Center, Durango Community Recreation Center, Sky Ute Casino, Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum, Mesa Verde State Park, Ute Park, Vallecito Lake, Durango Hot Springs, Pagosa Springs, Lake Night Horse, and Purgatory Resort. Our central location allows for several forms of transportation. You can hop on the River Trail either by foot or bike to get to downtown - 5-10 minutes by bike or 20-30 minutes by foot. If you prefer to be uptown, there are several eateries and shopping options within a 5 minute walk out your front door. The Durango Transit Trolley, which runs throughout the town, has a stop only a block away. If you have any special needs (parking or otherwise) please do not hesitate to communicate with the host.
