Situated on a quiet street, we are one block from Sligo Creek trail and a ten minute walk to downtown Takoma Park. We look forward to welcoming you and your family! We live in the "main house" on the property so will be just a phone call or knock away for anything you may during your stay. Our family lives in the "main house," a completely separate building. While you might hear a kiddo laughing in our backyard, the guesthouse remains quite private. We are just a phone call (or knock) away if you need anything. We are located on a residential street one block from Sligo Creek Trail. This nine mile stretch of protected walking and biking paths sneaks through the woods and along the creek. Beautiful in the fall! There are playgrounds on the trail approximately each mile. Additionally, our house is one block away from Jackson-Boyd playground, great for kids! We are about a 20 minute walk to historic downtown Takoma Park (25 minute walk to the Takoma Metro) -- a 10 minute train ride from Union Station. Takoma Park is a very walkable community and includes plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping options. We'd be first to recommend the always popular vegan donut shop, Donut Run, and the brand new luxury, eco-friendly nail salon- Azalea Nails! We're happy to give any recommendations for your stay!
