Nestled in the cedars, our dog friendly log cottage offers a peaceful retreat, and at the same time, a convenient home base for exploring all that Northern Door County has to offer. We think you’ll love the rustic Northwoods vibe. The cottage is located just a short walk from the waterfront, boat rentals, public beach, and the charming village of Ephraim. Ephraim Coffee Lab, Good Eggs, Trixie’s, Lost Tuk Tuk, Pearl Wine Bar & Wilson’s famous ice cream parlor are all within walking distance. Northwind Cottage #1 has a fully furnished kitchen with a table for 4, a dining area with seating for 8, a wood burning fireplace, and a living area perfect for gathering after a day of adventure. The cottage also has a charcoal grill, a small screened porch, picnic tables and a hammock in the backyard. The cottage is serviced by cable TV and wireless internet. Northwind Cottage #1 is adjacent to Northwind Cottages #2 and #3. Not only can each cottage be rented out individually, but they are also perfect for larger family gatherings, accommodating up to 18 people total, when renting all three together. Guests will have full access to the cabin as well as the small front and back yards. We ask that guests do not access the breezeway between cottages 1 & 2, which is reserved for the cleaners, or the basement. 10 days prior to check in you will receive a pre-check in email. Once your details are confirmed, you will receive access to our Guest Portal. Here you will find useful information as well as a link to the Lodgify Guest App. If you choose to download the app, you will have offline access to the property directions (cell coverage is spotty in Ephraim), our contact info, lock box code and our guidebook highlighting our favorite nearby restaurants and activities. The cottage is in the woods and only a block from the water and beautiful Ephraim sunsets. Parking is available on the premises. Sometimes the village is busy and parking is hard to find. Fortunately, the cottage is just a short walk to the village center as well as the beach and there is a sidewalk along the main road, Highway 42. Take a sunset sail, go for a carriage ride, step into the past on a historical tour, or simply take a leisurely stroll on the back roads. Peninsula State Park is within biking distance. And of course, just a little further afield, opportunities abound for hiking, exploring nature, golfing, boating, checking out the galleries or taking in a show.
