This 2 bedroom, 2 bath home, sleeps 4 with newly expanded decks. Access to the beach is only a 10 min walk. We invite you to stay at this one-of-a-kind, nature lover's getaway on beautiful St. George Island. If you truly want to experience why people come to the island - this home says it all - privacy, beauty and nature. The space Inside the home, you will see the home's modest Island inspired décor - with plenty of natural wood, tile & stone. Enjoy plush, comfy seating in the living room with a new 55” Smart TV with Direct T.V. , & FREE Wi-Fi. If you are a cook, you will enjoy this cook's kitchen with plenty of counter space! You can dine in a breakfast nook or in a dining area next to the kitchen. An extra large walk-in pantry , office space and a separate laundry room round-out the kitchen area. The romantic master bedroom is a unique open concept with a custom stone and glass shower. Shiplap accent walls, with a lounging sofa, comfy chair with ottoman from where you can watch TV. The master bedroom opens up to one of the new beautiful decks complete with an outside hot shower! The 2nd bedroom features two twin beds, and a double dresser with an adjoining bath room. Room has a large picture window overlooking lush and wild private landscape. All decks have recently been renovated and expanded so you can get a commanding view of your surroundings. Upper decks let out from the living room and master bedroom. Perched in the treetops, the upper decks offer gorgeous views of Apalachicola Bay. Peak over to see the lush plants below. This home is surrounded by enchanted potted plants and native greenery. The lower deck is the ultimate hang-out spot and will let you get up-close and personal with surrounding plants and animals. Decks offer plenty of outdoor seating including chairs, table settings and even a screened in porch. There is also a gazebo with swinging hammock for you to enjoy your morning coffee. There is a 2 car covered parking below the house for you to use and unpack with ease. If you love to fish, this property is for you. A private dock allows you to fish directly into Apalachicola Bay. Redfish, speckled trout and flounder have all been caught on hooks while mullet have been caught with a throw net directly from Outtabank’s dock. Bench seating and a fish cleaning station with running water round out your private dock. The dock is designed so you can easily hand-launch a kayak or small boat at any tide-level. With kayaks you can gain access to the adjacent “All-Tides-Cove” or make a day trip to Nick’s Hole. While seated at the dock you will be surrounded by panoramic views of the ‘Last Great Bay”. In addition, this property is located in close proximity to some of the best known fishing spots on the Island, including Bob Sikes Cut. The beach is an easy 10 min walk away. The uncrowded beach is perfect for family-friendly activities—from swimming, fishing and paddling in the clear gulf waters to shelling, castle-building and relaxing on the sugar white sand. Outtabanks is truly a birders paradise and the “show” is all around you. Guests hardly need binoculars to witness a wide range of seabirds, ducks, inland birds and birds of prey - including osprey and bald eagles. The resident eagles have successfully raised at least two families in the nest across the canal. It is worth noting that this is not a new fancy home. The home represents the Old Florida, it is one of the first houses build on this island. It has been updated and modernized with care. Wildlife of all kinds will be seen visiting the property - including raccoons, opossums, lizards and sometimes snakes - so please watch your step. Some parts of Florida are still “untamed” - we like it that way and hope you do too. Guests must bring their own hand-launchable boats. (no motor boats allowed - by water or trailers) The canoes and kayaks on the property are privately owned. When renting this home, you will receive a discount on all rentals at Jolly Roger Beach Shop. The shop rents golf carts, kayaks, paddle boards, bicycles, beach chairs and specialize in fishing and other boating excursions. FREE deliver & pick up directly to Outtabanks. We ask that you limit your parties to 4 or less. We cannot allow pets, including service pets, due to allergies. Sorry! Guest access You are welcome to use the entire house and the property. Please note that the island is home to sea turtles and we kindly ask that you keep night lights to minimum. Upper part of the house is for your use; bottom storage is locked away (private storage). Kayaks and boats are not to be used. If you are interested in renting these, please contact Jolly Roger located on St George Island. Other things to note Wifi: Please note that our wifi is not super fast. It is the best speed we can currently get on the island/location. We continue to update as better service become available. Elevator and Gas fireplace: These are on the premises and we do get a lot of questions about them - they are not currently functional. House is one story and elevator is not a necessity. They are obsolete for your safety until we can figure out a better solution.
