The southern coast of Maine offers beautiful, soft sand beaches perfect for walking, sunbathing, playing, swimming, and relaxing - enjoy the breeze and watch the surfers. Start the day with coffee and sunrise over the ocean from your gorgeous balcony, then step inside to make some breakfast when you get hungry. This is also the ultimate spot to watch the Ogunquit Beach July 4th fireworks! Bathed in abundant natural light and featuring the same gorgeous view, the open-concept space is a dream for entertaining and features high-end furnishings and fixtures throughout. The chef will adore the sleek, full kitchen, and there's room for everyone at mealtime between the kitchen island barstools and the adjacent dining table. After a day of adventures, relax at home in the beautifully landscaped garden or stream a movie together in the cozy lower-level den. Another TV in the main living room and one in the primary bedroom mean everyone can find something to watch. End the night with a toast back out on the balcony before drifting off to one of the well-appointed bedrooms, each with an en suite bath. Don't forget to mark your calendars for the 4th of July holiday, as you'll have the best view in the area to watch the fireworks light up the sky! THINGS TO KNOW Streaming services are available with guests' own accounts. Seasonal note: The outdoor furniture is available from Memorial Day to Labor Day No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. A year-round tenant lives on the lower level of the home. (Separate Entrance) Guest access You'll enter through the front main door using a deadbolt electronic lock. Enter your 10-digit code, and when the Schlage button flashes green, wait 3 seconds for the locking mechanism to fully disengage. Then rotate the deadbolt away from the doorframe to complete entry. The deadbolt spins freely until the code is entered and disengages. To lock the door when you leave, press the Schlage button and turn the deadbolt toward the doorframe - the lock does not engage automatically. If the Schlage button flashes red, press it to reset and it will flash green when ready; you can then re-enter your code. After three unsuccessful attempts, the system locks for 30 seconds before you can try again. Standard check-in is 4pm and checkout is 10am. Early check-in or late checkout may be available for a fee outside peak season (Labor Day through Memorial Day) - you'll receive an email or text if either is offered. During peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), early check-in is not available; late checkout is rarely offered if another guest is arriving the same day. Other things to note The home has a washer and dryer on the second floor for your use. You'll find an automatic drip coffee maker and a Keurig in the kitchen - please bring your own supplies for either. The home has three smart TVs: one in the master bedroom, one in the kitchen, and one in the lower level family room. You can log in with your own app credentials; some free apps are also available. Central A/C and heat are controlled by wall thermostats in the kitchen and second-floor hall, plus a mini-split remote in the lower level den for both cooling and heating. Outdoor furniture is available from Memorial Day through September, weather dependent. During winter, a local snow removal contractor will plow the driveway and shovel the path within 24 hours of a snowstorm. A shovel and ice melt are provided at the home. The lawn is mowed every Thursday (weather permitting) by a landscaping company. A few weeks between visits, the same crew will weed the flower beds as part of their upkeep schedule. Seasonal note: The sprinkler system runs automatically each morning during summer and shuts off by 8am. Complimentary start-up amenities include toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, trash bags, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, laundry detergent, and hand soap. These are provided to get you started - please plan to purchase additional supplies for your stay. Sheets and bedding are supplied on all beds, plus one towel set per guest; a few backup sheets and towels are typically left as well. Southern Maine's coastal area occasionally experiences intermittent internet outages during inclement weather, especially in winter storms - this is typically a provider issue and usually resolves within an hour. Rebooting the router and modem can help. Please wait at least an hour before reporting an issue. This beautiful location is part of Southern Maine's natural environment, which means insects and pests are common. Monthly pest control minimizes their presence but cannot eliminate them entirely. Depending on the season, you may encounter mosquitoes, black flies, ticks, sand fleas, spiders, beetles, ants, no-see-ums, beach flies, deer flies, and houseflies - please bring bug spray for outdoor activities. Power outages can occur during severe weather, especially winter storms. The local team monitors outages and can provide updates during your stay.
