Our just-renovated modern farmhouse sits on two acres near Woodstock, Va., only 90 minutes from D.C. This home is centrally located for hiking, kayaking, wineries, breweries, antiques, and much more. We have dedicated workspaces with reliable high speed internet for telecommuters who need a change of pace. The space Our farmhouse was built in 1900 and tastefully renovated in 2021, retaining its original charm with all new appliances and amenities. The 2,000 square feet offer ample space and the two-acre property provides a beautiful setting for family adventures and/or relaxation. Amenities include: + Fully fenced yard (nearly half an acre is within the fence) + Patio with outdoor seating for eight and a gas grill + Peloton exercise bike + A brand new kitchen and bathrooms + A new HVAC system + High speed (300 mbps) cable internet and Roku TV (BYO passwords) + Wrap-around porch with ample seating + Fire pit + Puzzles, games and books + Views of two mountain ranges The many nearby attractions include: + Ten-minute drive to the (dog friendly) Seven Bends state park for walking or kayaking + 25-minute drive to Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive or West Virginia hiking spots + 45-minute drive to majestic Luray Caverns + Nearby wineries: Muse Vineyards, Shenandoah Vineyards + Nearby breweries: Swover Creek Farms (our favorite!), Woodstock Brewhouse + Minutes from historic downtown Woodstock with a superb cafe, restaurants, and antique stores + One minute from a fabulous dog park (Fairview Park) Forget something? Walmart, CVS and Walgreens are about 10 minutes away. We love dogs and welcome yours (up to two) so long as you agree to keep our property clean (see house rules). Our three bedrooms are capable of comfortably accommodating seven guests. We may be able to accommodate a couple more people - just ask! Guest access The entire house and yard is yours apart from the unfinished attic and basement and an owner's closet off of the kitchen. While the barn is picturesque, we ask that guests admire it from afar and don't go inside. Other things to note - Interstate 81, about half a mile from our property, offers convenient access to many attractions within the Shenandoah Valley. There can be ambient highway noise audible from our property, depending on traffic and the weather, so we have a white noise machine for guests sensitive to noise. - From approximately April through November, we have a mowing service mow our lawn. They typically mow on Tuesdays in the late morning/early afternoon (weather permitting) and usually complete the mowing in 30 minutes.
