For 104 years, "The Oaks House" is a historic home residing on a live oak lined street and perfectly blends the charm of the 1920s with modern day aesthetics. Front Street is less than a block away and you're just steps from all Downtown Georgetown has to offer. Experience downtown Georgetown living in cozy, historic fashion. Historic, warm and inviting accommodations meet the simple modern touches of 2023 in a place where guests can relax and enjoy the character of this 103 year old home while having everything they'll need for their stay. **Important Things To Know** -The upstairs guest room with 2 twin beds is a small bedroom typical of the early 1900s era. The room and beds are great for kids due to the size. The room/beds will accommodate average sized adults who don't mind sleeping in a smaller room with limited space. -In summer months, the temperature can be a few degrees warmer upstairs than it is downstairs due to the age of the house. Upstairs Master bedroom 1 has its own en suite full bathroom. Upstairs bedrooms 2 & 3 will share a full bathroom. The downstairs guest room has its own half bathroom, but the only showers (2) are upstairs. Other Things To Note: -Less than a block to Front Street -2 minute walk to the Kaminski House & the Harborwalk -Street parking for boats & trailers (1 mile from East Bay Boat Landing) -2 driveway spots next to house -Keeping in mind the of the age of the house and its original features (hardwood floors, front door, etc), I ask if possible to please remove shoes by the front door to reduce wear on the 100+ year old floors. Please treat the house tenderly as to keep everything in great condition for years to come. The neighborhood is very quiet and walkable. Your stay will intersect with Front St, making many restaurants and shops available by foot. Walk less than a block and you'll be on Front Street, which is home to numerous local restaurants and shops. The famous Kaminski House & Harborwalk are less than 2 blocks away. The Harborwalk is a waterfront boardwalk that features local restaurants, bars, a brewery and the Shops At Fogel Wharf. The neighborhood itself is relatively quiet and very walkable. The location of this stay will allow guests to practically walk to just about everything they can experience in the downtown historic district. If walking isn't in the cards, hop on a bike or in the car and you can get to where you want to be in minutes. -The only showers are upstairs -On occasion, there may be mail/deliveries arriving. I will be available 24/7 via phone/text or AirBnb messaging to help with anything that you may need.
