At our exclusive eco-retreat we have everything you need to indulge yourself and get away from it all. The Pheasantry is a luxurious cocoon in which to do as much or as little as you wish. With 3 smart TVs and a secluded outdoor space, you are free to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Norfolk countryside without venturing further, although the Broads national park, the stunning Norfolk and Suffolk coastlines and the vibrant, historic city of Norwich are all easily accessible by car & train The space With underfloor heating throughout, The Pheasantry is fitted to a very high standard with everything you could desire for a luxurious stay. There is a smart TV in the living area, with another secretly concealed in the foot of the king size bed and yet another integrated in the bathroom's LED mirror. A private patio and outdoor dining area with BBQ and chiminea, and a hidden double golf net are provided for your sole use. The Pheasantry is equipped with a Nespresso machine and capsules, along with full cooking facilities. Breakfast ingredients are supplied on arrival and are refreshed throughout your stay: a freshly baked granary farmhouse loaf, butter, jam and marmalade and fresh, free-range eggs from our own Blacktail hens. We know that many of our guests enjoy cosy evenings in; with this in mind, the freezer is packed with an enticing range of high quality frozen meals, including ice cream and croissants; to keep things simple, these are charged at cost price on an honesty payment system. When in season, there will also be a delicious selection of homegrown fruit and vegetables to buy, along with additional free-range eggs. You are very welcome to help yourself to apples from our orchard, there are lots of varieties to choose from! A washing machine and tumble dryer are available for guests' use by prior arrangement, along with overnight charging for electric vehicles. You will also have an iPad provided for your use during your stay. We pride ourselves on our eco-credentials and you can be assured that your stay here will be carbon positive: The Pheasantry sources all its electricity from our own wind turbine and solar panels; the hot water comes from solar thermal and ground source; we only use sustainable and eco-friendly cleaning products and we have planted over 700 trees on the farm since 2001. Guest access The Pheasantry has its own private garden and patio area. Guests are welcome to walk down to the river or the lake on our land, or visit the friendly sheep and lambs in the field just outside your windows. The village is served by a regular bus service to Wymondham and Norwich, and the beautiful, historic railway station in Wymondham has direct links to Norwich and Cambridge. Wymondham also boasts several reliable taxi companies. Wheel Travel, based in Norwich, are a cycle hire company who will drop bicycles to your chosen location and collect them on your last day. Other things to note Use of washing machine, tumble dryer and EV charging by prior arrangement. The use of all towels, linen, toiletries, robes and slippers are provided free of charge during your stay. Kitchen essentials, charcoal for the BBQ and the use of a chiminea for your patio are also provided free of charge.
