Set in unspoilt countryside, but only 2km from the village of Panicale, which is often called one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. There is plenty to do on your doorstep. In the autumn guests can join the owners in the harvest of grapes for wine, followed by wine tasting. October/November is peak olive harvesting season, when, after picking, guests can then try the newly pressed olive oil. There is also horse riding on the farm, which can be organized in advance. The capital of Umbria, Perugia is 45 minutes away. It is well worth a visit, as is the famous town of Assisi (1 hour) birthplace of St Francis and a site of pilgrimage.
