Beachwood Cottage is perfectly situated on the peninsula between the lakes. Take a 10 min walk to a wide Lake MI beach, or ride our 6 BIKES to Pere Marquette, the Deck, or along the gorgeous Muskegon Lakeside trail. Relax in the privacy of the backyard for coffee in the morning and campfires at night. Basement is set up for fun and games with regulation ping pong, darts, bar and 50" TV. Beach towels, chairs, and sand toys provided! Fully updated throughout with new beds, furniture and decor. Approximately 1000 sq ft on main level with all bedrooms, bath, kitchen, living room on main level. The finished basement game room adds another 650 sq ft of living space. The open floor plan connects the kitchen, dining, and living room. Kitchen is set up with all cookware, dishes, glasses, baking pans, basic spices, coffee, etc. for that home-cooked meal. The Master Bdr has a queen bed and a 40" smart TV. The second br has a queen bed, and the third has 2XL twin beds (adult size) and a desk. All beds are new memory foam gel mattresses and all closets have hanging shelves for clothing. The bathroom has a large vanity and extra shelves in a nook to accommodate all your personal items, plus 7 towel hooks. The living room and basement each have 50" smart TV's. All TV's have YouTubeTV (live TV with unlimited DVR and 80+ channels). Roku TV's also support all streaming services. High-speed WIFI, dimmable LED lighting in all living areas, heating and air conditioning controlled by a smart thermostat. Extra long driveway can accommodate multiple cars and a boat trailer. Large backyard is fenced all the way around with a self-closing latch gate. BBQ is a larger 4 burner model, with propane and utensils provided. Wood for the firepit also provided. 2 three speed beach cruiser bikes and 4 single speed bikes are on property for guest use. (note: we will do our best to keep all 6 bikes in working condition at time of stay, but cannot guarantee it.) Guests have full access to the house and yard. The garage is locked and not available for guests, except for access to the bikes if requested. The laundry with new washer/dryer is accessible through a marked door in the basement. Please, no children in the laundry area. Laundry soap is provided. Abby and Nick will always be reachable via the messaging here, as well as through text or call at anytime during your stay. The Beachwood Neighborhood sits adjacent to the Muskegon Country Club, on a sandy peninsula between Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake. If you take Cottage Grove St (across the street from house), that will lead you straight to the Cottage Grove Boat launch facility where you can launch your boat 1/3 mi away. If you take Resort Ave (3 houses down street) and go straight, you will hit the Lake Michigan coastline in .4 miles. Right there is Muskegon Beach, a sandy beach with public parking. Continuing along Beach Street heading north on the coastline, you will be at Pere Marquette Park, a famous beach with 'The Deck', a great place to grab some food, drink and play games. The Lakeside District is another great place to visit, with restaurants, distilleries and shops. To get there, go down Cottage Grove, turn right on Lakeshore Drive and you will run right into it in about 1.25 miles from the house. Beachwood Park is a short 5 min walk where you can get on the Beachwood Park trail loop 1.25 miles through treed dunes and back along the Lake MI coastline (see listing photo for map). Ride the provided bikes along the bike trails to Pere Marquette Beach or along the Muskegon Lakeside trail that goes along the lakeshore all the way to downtown Muskegon and beyond! Since the entire house is newly furnished, we do not allow any pets at this time. However if you have a special situation and want to ask, please message BEFORE booking. Thank you for understanding =) Trash days are Thursday & Friday. You may see our neighbor bring the bins out to the curb, and back again after the trucks come. We will try to keep lawn maintenance to days without guests. However, due to Michigan's unpredictable weather and the fact that guests might be booked back to back, there may be times when the lawn is being mowed. Please notify us beforehand if you want to make sure this does not occur during your stay.
