The space This charming home offers a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing stay in York. ✨ The Space ✨ Upon entering the ground floor, you’ll find a lovely open-plan living room, kitchen, and dining area. The spacious living space features a large, comfy sofa, an armchair, and a Smart TV (please note, no Freeview, but guests can log into their own TV apps). The exposed brick feature wall adds a charming touch, making this a perfect spot to unwind. The sleek black kitchen comes with an extendable table for up to 4 guests and all the essentials: fridge freezer, electric hob and oven, microwave, washing machine, kettle, and toaster. The downstairs bathroom offers a bath with shower over, mirrored cabinet, toilet, and hand basin. Step outside to a pleasant seating area, ideal for dining or relaxing with loved ones. Upstairs, you'll find two lovely double bedrooms, each with ample storage space. The front bedroom overlooks the road, featuring a triple wardrobe, vanity unit, bedside tables, and reading lamps. The rear bedroom offers built-in cupboard space, shoe storage drawers, and a night table with a reading lamp. Complimentary tea/coffee is provided, so please take advantage of it when you come after a long journey! 🏛 Local Attractions 🏛 Our home is perfectly located to explore the best of York! Here are the top 5 attractions just a short distance away: 🙏 York Minster (20-minute walk) - A stunning Gothic cathedral, known for its breathtaking architecture and history, offering panoramic views from its tower. 🛍 The Shambles (15-minute walk) - A historic, narrow street lined with beautiful 14th-century buildings. It’s one of the most photographed places in York and offers a charming mix of shops and cafes. ⚔️ Jorvik Viking Centre (20-minute walk) - A fascinating museum where you can immerse yourself in Viking history, with a ride through a recreated Viking city and galleries displaying authentic artifacts. 🏰 York Castle Museum (15-minute walk) - Known for its Kirkgate Victorian street exhibit, this museum offers a unique peek into life in 19th-century York and its many other engaging exhibitions. 🚂 National Railway Museum (25-minute walk) - A family-friendly museum that is home to a vast collection of historic trains and offers interactive exhibits that both adults and children will enjoy. Fresh white bed linen and towels (one towel and one bath towel per person) and travel-sized miniature bottles of shampoo, shower gel and soap are also provided. Also included are dish washing detergent packs, toilet paper, kitchen paper, etc., which will last for several days. If you want to do some more shopping during your stay, Sainsbury's Local is within a 5 minute walk. All bedding and amenities are of hotel quality, ensuring a comfortable stay. On street parking for one car (please note the road is narrow and a cul de sac). Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house and rear yard. Other things to note CHECK IN / CHECK OUT Check-in time is after 4pm and check-out time is before 10am. A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this will cause disruption to my cleaner’s schedule. Please note that you will be charged £100 for lost keys, so please be careful with them. PARKING There is parking for one car with the use of a parking permit which is kept in the property. An additional car can be parked in Nunnery Lane 24/7 Car Park which is located approximately 5 minutes walk away, or Bishopthorpe Road Car Park which is approximately 4 minutes away. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO PUT THE PARKING PERMIT BACK IN THE PROPERTY AT CHECK OUT. WIFI Broadband speeds are around 45-61 Mbps for download and around 14-18 Mbps for upload. TRAVEL COT A travel cot and mattress are available to borrow upon request, subject to availability, and at an additional cost of £20. Please ensure you message before hand so that I can arrange for the installation. Guests will need to bring their own cot bedding, including a bottom sheet. (I am afraid highchair requests cannot be met). DURING YOUR STAY My property management team will be available 24/7 via Airbnb, email, or phone to provide any assistance my guests may need. The property is professionally maintained and cleaned, and professionally cleaned linens and toiletries are guaranteed. 24/7 guest support is also available before and during your stay.
