Description

The Granary is a stylish annexe/apartment, attached to Ivy Cottage, the original farmhouse. It is all on one level with the bonus of its own hot tub. Just 2 miles from the market town of Skipton, it is set in the small village of Carleton-in-Craven, with its own village pub, village store/off-license, regular bus services into town and local walks taking you across open countryside into town. The Granary makes a great place to stay when visiting this beautiful part of the Yorkshire Dales. The space The Granary is a stylish, one-bedroomed annexe with its own private hot tub on the decked patio - the ideal place to unwind after an invigorating walk in the Dales. It is all on one level with just 3 steps from the communal entrance hall to its private front door. It has a very stylish and contemporary interior with open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area with high ceilings with exposed wooden trusses, bi-folding doors that lead out onto the south-facing, and private, decked patio with hot tub. From here you can sit and take in the views of the garden, have a bbq and enjoy the hot tub. In the one-bedroom, the beds can be arranged as twin beds or together to form a comfortable, super-king bed. This cosy little pad is ideal for couples and provides a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Skipton. The town is very accessible from Carleton and is just a 5-minute drive away or an easy level walk, following the paved route along the road or by taking the public footpath across the fields. Carleton itself has a few amenities; with the friendly village pub - The Swan Inn; the local village store/off-licence serving groceries, newspapers etc and is open 7 days a week; a very well-respected pharmacy. The village also has a regular bus service into town, Monday to Friday, for those who want to leave their car behind. Guest access Guests with have full private use of The Granary. There is a communal hallway that is shared with ourselves at Ivy Cottage. The parking area is to the side of Ivy Farm Cottages and is shared with the guests who stay in the other cottages - Poppy Cottage No. 1 and residents to Poppy Cottage No. 2. Other things to note The forecourt and parking area is shared with other guests who are staying at the cottages. Our neighbours to two other properties, have access across the forecourt.
