The Mineral Schoolhouse
The Mineral Schoolhouse Enjoy a stay at this vintage, small town, school house. This property is located in the tiny town of Mineral, WA that was once the center of a booming mining and logging industry. A devastating fire in the 1920’s switched the towns main draw to the fantastic recreational fishing on Mineral Lake. We are just a short walk to the public access boat launch, hiking, biking, and only 15 minutes from year round access to Mount Rainier National Park. The space The original Schoolhouse built in 1947 is practically untouched. There are four LARGE (almost 1000 sq. ft. each!) classroom bedrooms and two smaller bedrooms that used to be the principal’s office and admin office. A huge common room complete with a commercial kitchen and dining area for 20+ friends and family. Play board games, watch a movie, or enjoy a quiet spot to read. Two community style bathrooms are in the hallway, each with a private shower area. There is a cozy outdoor deck where you can BBQ and look over the almost 3-acre field for outdoor activities. If it is on the cooler side, with no burn ban in effect, you can enjoy some conversation around the tabletop fire pit. If the weather is a little more liquid, you can run and play to your hearts content in the full-size gymnasium, complete with stage and bleachers! Guest access You will have the entire place to yourself! Sleeping accommodations for 10 or more. Parking available for up to 12 cars.
