Superbly converted stables

The cottage is located in one of the Chiltern Hills most beautiful valleys. Originally built as a wing to spectacular 18th century barns (listed as historic interest), the stables have been converted to a very high standard retaining many of the original features. Well equipped, the property provides comfort and convenience whilst enjoying privacy in its own walled courtyard. The setting is rural & peaceful with our ducks and chickens wandering freely. The space The outside door leads directly into the kitchen diner which is well equipped with all main appliances. From the kitchen, a corridor leads into the cosy sitting room with log burner and seating for four. Between the kitchen and sitting room there is a shower room and WC, accessible from either room. The main double bedroom with en-suite bathroom is accessed from the sitting room as well as the stairs up to the twin bedded room. A floor plan of the cottage is shown in the ‘photos’ section. The main bedroom retains many features of its early life of being a stable and has the original stable door opening onto the private cobbled courtyard Guest access All the cottage is fully accessible. Other things to note The cottage is centrally heated and there is also a log burning stove for cosy evenings in Autumn or Winter. (Logs are provided free of charge). The staircase to the upstairs bedroom is quite steep and elderly or infirm people may find this a problem, although hand rails on either side exist. Children love the upstairs bedroom which has its own TV. Stair gates are available. We provide some local guides and maps and dozens of leaflets on places of interest. We also provide a number of DVDs, hopefully with something of interest for everyone. For Mobile Phone Usage - Network maps show poor coverage but we have a multi-network signal booster which provides an adequate service and from the end of January 23, full fibre ultrafast broadband
