The private dock stretches out over the Marin County shoreline, framing marina and canal views that shift with every hour of the day. Come evening, the fire pit draws everyone into the backyard without much effort, and the indoor gas fireplace does the same once the night cools. Waterfront living Spread across 2,244 square feet, this bayfront home sits directly on the water between San Francisco and Wine Country - two of California's most compelling destinations within easy reach. Large windows pull the outside in, flooding the living spaces with natural light and keeping those marina and canal views front and center. Up to 8 guests can settle in across three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, with plenty of room to breathe. Sleeping arrangements Three separate bedrooms give every guest their own retreat. Each is furnished with soft bed linens, extra pillows and blankets, room-darkening shades, and clothing storage with a closet and dresser. The master suite opens onto a private balcony - a quiet spot to take in the morning light over the water or unwind at the end of the day. Outdoor living The fully fenced private backyard opens up to a patio with outdoor furniture, a dedicated outdoor dining area, sun loungers, a BBQ grill, and a propane fire pit. From the private dock, you can launch the included kayak or paddleboard, drop a line in, or simply sit and watch the bay do its thing. Birdwatching and scenic trail walks are right at hand along the waterfront, and a public park with green space and a playground sits just across the street. Kitchen & dining The full kitchen handles everything from a quick breakfast to a full group dinner. You'll find a refrigerator, freezer, Whirlpool electric stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher, along with a drip coffee maker, Keurig, hot water kettle, blender, toaster, and baking sheet. Cooking basics, dishes and silverware, wine glasses, and barbecue utensils are stocked and ready. Eat inside at the dining table or take it outside to the outdoor dining area. Family & entertainment The home is well-suited to families traveling with young children. A crib and Pack 'n Play are available upon request, alongside a baby monitor, baby safety gates, children's books and toys, and children's dinnerware. When it's time to wind down indoors, there's a 45-inch HDTV with Roku, a record player, a PS3 game console, board games, and exercise equipment on site. Practical details Self check-in is handled through a smart lock - your security door code arrives 48 hours before check-in. A rental agreement and ID verification are required before arrival, and a security deposit is collected as part of the booking process. Pets are welcome (maximum 2 per stay, prior approval required). Free parking is available on premises - please reach out ahead of arrival to confirm suitability for your vehicle. The home also includes WiFi, a dedicated workspace with a door, washer and dryer, iron, ceiling fan, portable fans, and heating. Safety equipment on site includes a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit. Please be aware that exterior security cameras cover the front, sides, backyard, and dock areas. Neighborhood San Rafael puts you at a natural midpoint between San Francisco and Wine Country. The Golden Gate Ferry terminal is a short drive away for a direct, scenic crossing into the city. Closer to home, the Marin County waterfront and trail network give you open space for walking, jogging, and exploring at your own pace. NOTE: A refundable security deposit is required, along with a rental agreement and government-issued ID verification. Up to 8 guests maximum, per city permit. Street parking is not allowed for Short-Term-Rental guests per city ordinance. Two off-street parking spots are provided; driveway is 22 ft long. Late checkout $50/hr after 11am if approved in advance, otherwise $100/hr or fraction there of until no one of your group is on the property.
