Permit n0 DSTR1429 - max night time occupancy: 8; day time: 16 The space 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, 1 kitchen, 1 laundry room, 1 office room. All rooms except one bedroom are located on the same level up a flight of 14 steps. Master bedroom (queen size bed) has its own bathroom, and a second bedroom (queen size bed) and a separate bathroom. 1 living room, another living room/dining area/tv room is near the open kitchen. Bedroom #3 is one level down, accessed through a flight of 14 steps from the main living room, and features large windows and fantastic view of the Lake Tahoe. Bedroom #3 is a large open room ideal for a couple and/or children with 2 bunk beds, a full size bed, and a sofa. The only rooms without a view are the office and one bathroom. There is a shuffleboard game in the garage, making for great entertainment. gas-log fireplace and board games for the winter. During Summer, you'll enjoy the outside deck and balcony with fantastic views too. Equipped with railings, they have a substantial height above ground (>8feet) worth noting. The downstairs room uses radiant heat that is on a schedule. The radiators will be hot only when the thermostat upstairs indicates "heat on". Guest access There are 3 free designated flat outside parking spots. The garages can be used with the following restrictions: the last few feet will not be plowed. You may need to shovel. The garage underneath the house is narrow and only 6 feet high. Check the height of your vehicle. You should not enter with a ski rack. It may exceed the height or catch the liftmaster rope and create significant damage you will be liable for. Access to the house during the Winter: During snow season, from October through April, you need a four-wheel drive to access the property: the final curve (left turn) just before Laurel Circle is sharp and steep. It is plowed (in case of snow) and drive-able year-round, however during and just after heavy snow, these services can be overwhelmed and delayed. In addition, when it keeps snowing the road may be slippery again shortly after they intervened. Therefore, snow chains (not just cable chains) are a must, and a four-wheel drive vehicle is required. Remember that you need chains on the way down as well as on the way up. None of this applies if it hasn’t snowed for a while and the roads are dry.
