Le Soleil Suite - Firepit, Mtn Views Near Hudson

A charming one-bedroom suite in a rural neighborhood 10 minutes by car from downtown Hudson. Your rental is a private, independent unit next to the main house. It has a full kitchen, bathroom, electric fireplace and a private backyard with a grill, firepit and pool (June to Sept.). If we are around, we give you privacy. Watch sunset over the Catskills from the living room. 1 Br with queen bed, 1 pullout sofa, 1 fold-out twin upon request. Close to Hudson, hiking, skiing, Olana and Art Omi. The space The light-filled open kitchen and living room give this home an airy, yet cozy feel. The living room and kitchen face south. Garden and orchard views surround the home. The kitchen and backyard grill are ready for cooking all the amazing food the Hudson Valley offers. The main living area has an electric faux-fireplace to provide warmth and light in colder months. The guest unit is directly adjacent to, but separate from the main house. You have full, private use of the backyard during your stay. If we are around, we give you privacy. Our pool is open from June-Sept., then safely closed during the winter. The pool is not heated, but has a solar cover that can be used at night to maintain its temperature. The private backyard is fully fenced in and includes a BBQ and firepit. The bedroom has a queen bed, large closet and desk. The living room has a pullout sofa. We also offer an optional twin-sized floor mattress. A portable Roku TV can be used in any room. Our house is in a country neighborhood that is a 10 minute drive to downtown Hudson and its many restaurants, shops, bars, cafes and the Amtrak station. It's easy to park downtown, but there are also local taxi services and Uber available if you'd prefer not to drive (we are happy to provide details). Many other activities surround us, including hiking in the Catskills and the Berkshires, apple picking and the Art Omi sculpture garden. Skiing at Catamount is 20 min by car. Guest access Our guests have full, private access to the rental unit, backyard, grill, firepit and pool (June-Sept.). The guest unit is directly adjacent to, but separate from the main house. You have full use of the backyard during your stay. If we are around, we give you privacy. Other things to note Our backyard is fully fenced in, however there is no safety system around our pool within the backyard so children need to be carefully supervised in summer months. During colder months (Oct - May) the pool is safely covered. Our home is near the Hudson Fish and Game Club which occasionally hosts trap shooting events. Welcome to the country! These infrequent events do not disturb our solitude, but we like to let guests know. The main house on our property is adjacent to, but seperate from the guest suite. We aren't often in the main house while hosting guests, but when we are, we give guests privacy. No pets please. If you plan to bring a service dog please let us know in advance so we can welcome them to our home. NO SMOKING INSIDE: Absolutely no smoking of any kind is allowed in the guest suite. We will charge guests a heafty fine for any needed smoking remediation. Please feel free to smoke outside.
