The space Our distinctive 2-bedroom self-contained apartment is the perfect place to unwind and recharge. There are 3 bedrooms to choose from so that you have the configuration of beds that best suit your needs. There are two bedrooms that boast comfortable king-sized beds, hanging wardrobe space with drawers, & black-out blinds for a peaceful night's sleep. The other bedroom features two single beds, a wardrobe, with drawers, and a black-out blind. All rooms have 700 thread count sheets, fans to keep you cool during the summer months, and electric blankets to keep you cosy in the the winter months. The bright & airy open-plan lounge and dining area with its full sun exposure, is a warm and inviting space to relax with family and friends. The air conditioning and heat pump ensure the temperature is always just right, while the large TV and board games provide plenty of entertainment. The foyer features an office desk and chair for those who work from home, a coat rack and bench for putting on shoes. This space has a small pool / air hockey table for your entertainment. It features some of the prints produced next door in the Print Studio. Our fully equipped galley kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm, including some pantry essentials. The bathroom is well-appointed with a powerful shower, heated towel rails, and a hairdryer for all your holiday needs. The laundry facilities include a washing machine, ironing board & iron with dryer available by arrangement. Outside, you'll find a large BBQ under a shaded pergola area with seating and an outdoor fire. It's perfect for enjoying meals alfresco. There is a stone bath with a waterfall tap for deep relaxation. Eco friendly? - Yes we are! Powered by solar and our sewage system is filtered through a wormery. We use filtered rainwater, line dry linen and use eco friendly cleaning products. We recycle, provide a compost bin and yet still provide you with all modern conveniences. Take a stroll through our fully fenced 3-acre property, where you'll discover secluded picnic areas and stunning views of Te Muri Estuary. Keep an eye out for our native birdlife, we have our own native owl - (morepork / Ruru) who is out at night, plus the Wood pigeons (Kereru), Fantails (Piwakawaka), Heron (kotuku), and NZ Falcon(Karearea) There are plenty of opportunities to explore the outdoors, with Mahurangi Regional Park just minutes away with its safe tranquil beaches. Multiple walking tracks lead you straight from our door to the beach in just 20 minutes. At low tide, you can explore other bays by walking around the peninsula along the stunning coast. If you have a boat, there's plenty of parking and easy access via the boat ramps to nearby harbours. A 25 minute drive will take you to Matakana and all its winery's, restaurants, cafe's, cinema and Farmers Market. Or a 10 minute drive will take you to the famous Bohemian Puhoi Pub. Guest access Our apartment is 100 square meters of pure relaxation, with plenty of space to stretch out and unwind. While the other half of the building is used as an artist’s studio and storage, you'll have exclusive access to the entire apartment. The Print Shed offers the perfect blend of coastal and rural settings, making it an ideal getaway for friends and family. Other things to note We welcome you to come and enjoy the beautiful Mahurangi West Peninsula. Our friendly Boxer, Hula, is always happy to greet visitors. If you're a dog lover, feel free to give her a pat. Otherwise, we'll keep her enclosed for your peace of mind. Please note that as a peaceful rural setting, we don't allow parties or large gatherings on the premises. To ensure the comfort of all our guests, smoking and vaping are not allowed.
