Welcome to The Miller’s Mississippi River Camp. My husband & I are adventurers, travelers, hunters, & fishermen. We are ice fishing & fly fishing enthusiasts & avid bow hunters. We have traveled to Alaska and all over the lower 48, but Wisconsin is our favorite state of all. Through years of living this lifestyle we have gathered gear, souvenirs, wall decor, and photo memories. We incorporated these and designed our river camp to embody this adventurous spirit and we hope you enjoy it. Location, location, location, this vacation home has it all!! The home is 5 houses from the best Supper Club in La Crosse, 2 blocks from Kwik Trip, 3 blocks from Festival Grocery store, Grand Dad Bluff is just north down the street, and yet you can sleep with the windows open and hear a pin drop in this safe and quiet neighborhood. A public bus stop is a half a block away so you can attend downtown events without the hassle of parking. The Miller’s Mississippi River Camp is nestled on the south side of beautiful La Crosse, WI, which is on the shore of the Mississippi River in The Driftless Area. The Driftless area is a unique part of the USA where the glaciers didn’t go through, and left rugged terrain and beautiful scenery. You will have the home to yourself and are free to use the kitchen and cooking utensils you find in there. Help yourself to Keurig, creamer, and bottled water. The home has a commercial style popcorn maker and popcorn, and you can enjoy the 75 inch tv in the living room. We have an extensive collection of A. Brandt Ranch Oak furniture that goes well with the cabin theme. You can also enjoy the porch where you can watch the birds and wildlife or the 43 inch tv. Feel free to feed the birds. Seed is kept in the the metal bin outside by the garden shed - we can’t seem to keep up with their eating habits. There is a small treat canister of peanuts on the porch. If you’d like, drop a few peanuts into the basket on the small picnic table by the window and watch the squirrels and birds enjoy them. There is a fire ring in the back so bring your own wood and enjoy the view of the Bluffs while sitting around the fire at night. Bring your own charcoal and you are welcome to use the charcoal grill as well with the outdoor dining area. The backyard is fenced. The sunsets often make the bluffs in front of our home look like they’re on fire. The locals call this “the golden hour.” You can park in the driveway, which is quite long and will accommodate a truck and boat. There is also an outside electric outlet for your marine battery. The house is 2.5 miles from a public boat ramp on the Mississippi River. You’ll notice we have security cameras outside, this is for your protection; you won’t find any in the interior of the house. Certain areas are private, but they are locked. There will be times that we will be on the property to mow or pick up mail or packages. We both have smart phones and will respond quickly to any messages through the Airbnb app. Our home is on the public bus route, less than a block from a supper club and within walking distance of Kwik Trip, a grocery store and a strip mall. Our home is close to hiking trails and Grandad Bluff. All this and yet so quiet you can sleep with your windows open and hear a pin drop. Public transportation, Uber or Lyft, personal vehicle. No smoking inside, no fish cleaning inside or outside, quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am, no parties, be respectful of our neighbors, no pets. Please wash dishes and pans you use, take out trash and recycling. No more than 4 total over night guests in the home please.
