Relax at our unique and tranquil getaway. We cater to couples looking for getaways and visits to our National Parks to nurture the soul. Our Cottage boasts privacy, comfort, fire pit (when permitted), outside BBQ, with other amenities to make your stay comforting & memorable. Breakfast included with each stay. We are rated by Airbnb (similar properties) from 1/1-10/24-2023 12.7 % Higher on Cleanliness 16.0 % Higher on Value The space Our guest house (The Cozy Cottage) is a wonderful, clean sanctuary for 1 or more nights stay. Rest, rewind, rekindle, hike, or visit Kings or Sequoia National Parks that are but 20 minutes away. Return to our (your) cottage after a wonderful day relaxing, hiking, wine tasting or sightseeing. Our Cottage is very spacious and comfortable. Bathroom is incredibly spacious, with an extra large tub/sit down shower, that truly pampers the soul. Living room boasts a leather sofa, with an additional leather recliner, 58 inch smart TV, and a DVD/Blue Ray player. There is also a DVD collection which boasts many titles, along with internet access via wifi. (Note: Inclement weather such as rain or snow may factor into, or cause internet connection to degrade to a point where there's no access. In the event internet is inoperable, it is considered an act which is out of our control) Kitchenette area has a coffee station with coffee maker, microwave oven, large capacity toaster, refrigerator with freezer filled with assorted meals (for a small fee) There is also a New BBQ, with griddle and side burner for our guests to cook to their hearts content, with all the amenities such as pots and pans, olive oil, salt & pepper, coffee, sugar, creamer, paper plates, plastic utensils. In addition, there are single serve style coffee, as well as large filter for those hard core java drinkers. Flavored coffee's are there as well. Guest access The Cozy Cottage has it's own private yard, with access to a 1 acre pasture area. Our property sits on a little over 15 acres, with occasional access to our 100 acre cattle ranch with seasonal creek. Our cottage is also a single story structure, with no stairs, for easy access. We have animals at our ranch, but they are not near the cottage (because let's face it, you really don't want to take a holiday, just to smell cow poop). Every surface is cleaned, every linen is washed prior to arrival. We pride ourselves on CLEANLINESS & HOSPITALITY. Other things to note For our winter guests: You will see the grand Sequoias with snow, which is seen by only a few who venture to visit during winter months. It's a sight to behold. We also suggest travel insurance during Jan-March just in case there happens to be a snow storm during your booked visit. Our elevation is 3250, and we get the occasional snow, but driveway is always clear, and roads are plowed (if necessary) for school busses. Sometimes chains are required for park entrance to be in the vehicle you're driving, but not necessary to put on in most cases. Breakfast items include scrambled eggs & Belgian waffles , coffee, hot chocolate and tea. From time to time we have bananas, oranges, yogurt. These breakfast items are subject to change. But more than likely will not. Bon Appetit. In addition to our provided breakfast items, we provide veggies from our family farm (Clukenoynk Farms) when harvested. These may be available from mid to late summer. Late summer offers walks through our Pumpkin Patch. Given that this location is rural, and our guests often drive for many miles prior to their arrival, we have an assortment of microwavable meals (for a nominal fee - usually just $5 each) in the refrigerator/freezer for convenient meals. So fear not after driving a long distance, or tired from hiking, there is plenty of FOOD! Our menu is supplied by Trader Joes. Items often available are: Orange Chicken Bowls, Sriracha Shrimp Bowls, Chicken Burrito Bowls, Reduced Guilt Mac & Cheese, Loaded Potatoes, Oatmeal, Vegetable Panang Curry, Pepperoni Pizza Mac & Cheese Bowl, (menu fluctuates based upon availability).
