The Lake Lodge on Whitewater Lake! The space Both Whitewater Lake and this two story, spacious and charming home are hidden gems of Upstate South Carolina. Nestled at the foot of the mountains, away from the hustle and bustle of larger lakes in the area, the waters of Whitewater Lake are only accessible via private residences. The Lake Lodge offers a number of ways to enjoy Whitewater Lake waterfront: fish from the dock (no license required!); watch a sunset from the yard swing overlooking the water; relax by the firepit at the water's edge, play yard games such as cornhole or savor a meal overlooking the lake from the upper and lower back deck.Entering through the front door of the home you will instantly be drawn in by the view of the mountains and the lake from the kitchen, living room, and screened in back deck. The large, well stocked kitchen with plenty of counter space, 4 seats at the bar and table with 4 seats provides comfortable seating to enjoy meals with your friends and family. The screened in back deck has plenty of seating, a TV and an egg chair swing to relax and unwind. The large main bedroom on the upper level features a King size bed. The attached bathroom has a large soaking tub, washer dryer and stand up shower. The second bedroom features a Queen size bed. The third bedroom upstairs offers a twin sized bunk over a King sized bed and two large bean bag chairs! Perfect for the kids in your group! As you exit out of the door off of the upstairs kitchen, you walk onto the covered deck down the outdoor stairs that lead to the lower parking area, stairs leading to the lake, and the door to the lower level. PLEASE NOTE, there is no indoor stairwell from the upper level to the lower level. You must use the outdoor stairway. Entering into the lower level the long hallway leads to the open living and kitchen area. The very large downstairs fully equipped kitchen offers a second place to gather, cook and enjoy meals with your family. The kitchen bar provides seating for 4 and the table in the kitchen provides seating for 6. The large sliding door leads out onto the lower patio where you can enjoy the large bench swing, yard games, steps to the water and large outdoor dining table. The downstairs main bedroom offers a King size bed. The second bedroom offers a twin bunk over a King size bed. The downstairs bathroom, with views of the lake, offers a tub/shower combination, separate water closet. This home and the surrounding area offer no shortage of ways to explore and relax including: Lounging on the egg chair swing and dining on the large screened in porch. Building a fire in the fire pit next to the lake. Driving and/or hiking to one of the many waterfalls in the area. Enjoying the water by canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, or relaxing in the floats. Driving to Clemson, Cashiers, Highlands, or Greenville. Visiting other lakes in the area - Keowee, Jocassee, or Hartwell. Rafting nearby white-water. Witnessing the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Experiencing local dining. Shopping/antiquing around town.
