Description

This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. The Stratton Shuttle comes straight to the house! We strive to make your stay as seamless as possible. Unfortunately, AirBnB won't let me link to the site so look for the Stratton Five Star Review Channel on YouTube. The space Down the long and winding private road, through towering evergreens and over babbling brooks, is a secret place that’s been tucked away, just waiting for your arrival. With no neighbors for miles, you’ll be surprised how close you are to everything you want to do in Stratton — four minutes to the mountain, just steps to downtown. But the magic and the majesty of this place may leave you wanting never to set foot outside the house. All you ever wanted is right here … Welcome to Green Mountain Manor. This is a place of dreams, a place to build lifelong memories. Whether you come with your extended family or your dearest friends, this is a place you will never, ever forget. Walk-in the front door, past the mudrooms, and Stratton unfolds before your very eyes: your private lake, a 27-hole golf course, the mountain itself. Soaring windows under double-height ceilings frame breathtaking panoramic views in every room. All barriers between indoor and outdoor melt away, and you are enveloped in the grandeur of the surroundings. With seven private bedrooms — five of which are king-size — and six baths, this sprawling residence welcomes both grand gathering and complete privacy; it is designed for modern, approachable luxury. You will appreciate the level of sophistication, while your kids will be able to act like kids. Whether for a weekend or a month, you will make this very special home yours. Gather by the two-story stone fireplace and hearth on the expansive, open-plan main floor. Sink into the oversize couches. Make meals in the island kitchen. Or, perhaps, cook pizzas in the central masonry stove, which warms the whole house on cold winter nights. Sneak away to sip morning coffee in the wood-paneled den, or if you must, make your way to either of two quiet work-from-home setups. The kids have their own level downstairs, fully equipped with TV screens, couches and a gaming table. A primary suite encompasses the whole second floor, dressed in calming colors and joined by a spa-like, European-style bathroom. It is a private oasis with spectacular views from each pillow. Throughout, linens are crisp and white, and appliances are top-of-the-line, ensuring you have everything you need for complete comfort during your stay. Green Mountain Manor is so-named thanks to country-music star Trevor Woods, who was so inspired when he stayed here, that he wrote his hit song, “Green Mountain State.” While you may not write a hit song during your visit, you will certainly be inspired, for this is a house for all seasons: Winter: A shuttle picks you up at the front door to whisk you to the mountain in minutes. Though maybe you’d prefer to snowshoe or sled on the golf course, go cross-country skiing, or skate on your private lake — it’s all right there, steps away. Or maybe just coax a roaring fire (firewood is always plentiful), and relax with a hot toddy or cup of cocoa, far from the crowds in town. Spring: Marvel at the flowers blooming outside your wide windows. Boat, canoe, paddleboard on your lake; play golf; take endless hikes around the property. Come home to the most glorious sunsets you’ll ever see. Summer: Indoor–outdoor living comes to life. Walk out your front door to hike, play tennis or golf, go dirt-biking. Swim or fish in the trout-stocked lake. Take a stroll to downtown Stratton, and while the day away at a sidewalk café. Come home to an evening relaxing in your hot tub. Fall: The fiery colors of autumn surround you, as you take in the crisp mountain air. Pick apples and pumpkins at local farms, golf, hike, kayak, peep at the leaves that fill all the picture windows with color. As the weather grows cooler, the multitude of blankets makes you extra cozy, as you sip hot cider and reminisce about your day. There is an activity to cater to every whim here in Stratton, and you need not take more than a few steps to enjoy them all. Or just settle yourself into Green Mountain Manor for the duration of your stay. You have everything you need and want in your grand home away from home. Guest access You will be sent a custom key code to enter in through the front door's electronic lock Other things to note The last 4 photos of the listing are for the Stratton Fitness and Training Center which features a year round indoor pool, sauna, steam, gym workout facility and workout classes. Upon request we can provide discounted passes to this facility. For those looking for a luxury experience we have at home massage therapists and local private chefs available upon request. Of course subject to their availability so requesting this sooner allows us to prepare these accommodations for you.
