The Cart Lodge is a 1 bedroom, self contained barn in peaceful countryside with views across fields. Option to add a private hot tub area. We allow 1 full day between bookings for professional cleaning services. In quiet location, just 3 minute drive to the local village shop, pubs and restaurant and a 10 minute drive to the historic town of Maldon. Cotton linens, fluffy bath sheets and hand towels are provided, plus hot tub towels and bath robes if the optional hot tub is rented. The space The Cart Lodge is light and airy with antique furniture, beams and a wood burning stove. The bedroom has a king size, antique French bed and off this is the ensuite bathroom with full size bath and shower above. In the lounge, the sofa can convert to a large double bed. Please enquire for more than 2 guests so that we can give you the best rates. The kitchen is fully fitted with a halogen hob, cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The dining table extends to accommodate 4 guests. There is a stable style back door that overlooks farmland and leads into your private patio with table, chairs and coal BBQ. A new, private hot tub area is available to rent and overlooks the fields to give you a great ' chill out' area. This has a table, chairs and a 3 person hot tub with 2 loungers and 1 seat. The large range of jets can be adjusted to suit you. Hot tub towels and bath robes are provided to give you a spa like experience. This is not included in the rental, so please message for details. There is off street, gated parking. Directly outside the property are lovely countryside walks, pricey not use our bicycles, free of charge, to explore the area. For guests with young children, we can supply a travel cot and high chair. The play area at the side of the barn has swings, slides and a climbing area to a play deck. Guest access There is a private parking space allocated for the Cart Lodge at the side of the barn. This leads to a private entrance. There is a private patio with coal BBQ and views over arable farmland. At the front, overlooking the shared lawn, is another table and chairs. We have a selection of bicycles that you are welcome to use. For children, there are swings, slides and a small climbing frame. Other things to note We allow 2 well behaved dogs. Please inform us if you will be bringing pets. £10 pet fee payable per pet, per night, payable prior to arrival. This is to cover additional cleaning costs.
